It's #JunkJournalJuly 2024! Junk Journal July is a free month-long challenge hosted by megjournals, in collaboration with @GetMessyArt, to inspire you to create in your art journal. Kickstart your creativity, join a supportive community and show up to your junk journal (or try out something new!) You can use the prompts with other types of journaling too.
How to get involved!

I really should do junk journaling more often, it's so fun 🥰
Breathing new life into junk, love it! That moment when I receive something in the mail but I get more excited by the packaging🙈 I stamped a flourish design on tissue wrapping paper and glued onto a collage of packing paper, the tissue paper sort of dissolved leaving just the design, like an image transfer effect, then finished with touches of gold paint, so satisfying ✨

I love using packaging too! I used packing paper, wrapping paper and paper bag. I also used some parts from candy boxes.
Hi Meg, I like how you used your packaging to create this spread! I'm not sure what all I'll be using but I do know it will definitely include brown paper packaging, and yes, I'm singing that song. It always pops in my head when I hear those words.😂 TFS 😊

I love how this turned out. It's beautiful! I cut some of bubble wrap and brown paper to add to my page. It has lots of texture, and I also used acrylic paints on some of it. I finished it off by rubbing a little gold paint over the textured parts, and it really made it stand out. I am so happy with it. Thank you for all the inspiration you give us. ❤😊

I kept my page simple again… I used bits of two different types of envelopes, a piece with a pretty pattern on it (It was from die-cuts pack)… and my focal image came from a small box that stickers came in. 😊 I had lots of packaging items to choose from… but… in the end I wanted to keep it simple… so only used a few bits. 😊
Love this layout! My favorite thing is clustering a bunch of labels and packaging. I also love the squishy Amazon bags to make journal covers, but I have more covers than I will ever need😂 tfs❤❤❤

I don’t understand collage using cool papers and covering them up really bothers me.
You’re welcome to do it your own way in your journal! Don’t forget this journal is no sew so it’s double sided :)
