    Grand day for a grand location and a grand video to record it. Thanks again.
    I had forgotten Beinn a'Chlaidheimh was demoted. I went straight up the steep slope from Shenavall on a hot day in July 1991. That other bothy looks more salubrious than Shenavall which was full of empty bottles that day!

      Hi Geoffrey, Demoted or not its certainly a top to include the group in my opinion. The bothy is a cracker and we had a look around on our previous visit but I've never been into Shenavail preferring to coming into these hills from Kinlochewe when we completed the 6 in a day routes. Cheers

    I just returned from Scotland (back to England) after completing a number of Munro’s, 3 of which you covered in a previous vid (Lochnagar etc,) and I can vouch what some of the other guys are commenting on: you don’t half put a shift in! Watching vids is one thing but actually doing it is another. I’m a fit mountain walker myself so know the score, the rounds and times you do are pretty impressive. Keep em coming, it’s addictive viewing. Richard.

With the accuracy of modern equipment is likely to pick up any initial errors. It's not something they do all the time but they just need to leave them as I can't see it makes a major difference. Also on the east side of Sgurr Ban above Loch an Nid, is a large area of exposed rock. I once read an article on this, and it was mystery why this should be the case.

    Glorious country, magnificent hills; one of this country's last remaining true wild places. Good to hear you name the peaks in your commentary rather than just referring to them as Munro 1, Munro 2 etc. It's much easier to identify the peaks when following your route on a map. Peaks get their names often because of their characteristics so it is nice to be reminded of that when we see them in your videos.

      Hi Ian, I've always managed to remember the names of this group of hills. Perhaps the effort getting to them has something to do with it. I always remember the first time I did Sgurr Ban and it's probably the worst I've felt on any subsequent hill through the years.... it was number 4 of 6 that day but great memories. Cheers

    Hi Charlie. Amazing content as usual. I have 2 questions to ask if you don't mind... how many rounds have you done? And what did you mean by marking your packs? Me and my mate often leave our packs out of sight, behind rocks, etc. Is there an etiquette for this?

    • @charliemccartney7055
      @charliemccartney7055  Před rokem +1

      Hi Bob, Mike and I are nearing the end of our 5th & 6th rounds after many years of enjoying the Scottish hills. There never has been a plan to complete so many but we just keep bashing the hills and eventually another round gets completed. There certainly won't be a 6th & 7th as my iffy knees won't allow that 🤣
      Marking the packs is simply storing the location into the gps so we can track back with ease, its a habit we got into after spending an hour once looking for our packs in a clear blue sky day. Cheers
