What Kazakhstan is REALLY Like | Almaty Travel Vlog

- After heading out to see the barren deserts, sand dunes, Mosques and more - our travels through the Almaty region in Kazakhstan continues.
And like that a day later we leave flat lands to go and explore beautiful mountains and lakes covered in pine trees - this country is honestly so diverse.
First stop we headed out to Moon Canyon which is known as the Grand Canyon of Central Asia. After lunch at a locals house in Saty we started our journey out to see the lakes...but not using any car - an old Soviet style jeep.
We were blown away at the beauty of Kaindy Lake and its interesting story of having petrified dead trees in it's turquoise waters.
Our final stop for the day was Kolsai lakes to make camp for a couple of nights.
Thanks to Open Forum Kazakhstan for partnering with us on this series.

Kasakhstan is one of the most countries that I enjoyed being in. I went there twice, at autumn and winter. It was magical. The people there were so respectful and welcoming, me being a Muslim, I didn’t get weird stares because of my hijab. I felt like it was my second home.
I usually don't like watching travel vlogs because I like accidentally discovering things for myself but I had no desire to go to Kazakhstan. Seeing the culture, the way people spend the at dinners and that beautiful petrified tree lake, it's now my list as country to visit.

Hi! Normally we kazakhs would eat sweets after the lunch/dinner. Dunno why they served sweets first tho 😀
Well, in the country side, there is always some sweets on the table. At least as I remember my childhood
The scenery reminds me SO much of Idaho/Wyoming here in the USA
the videography on this is beautiful and they really do a wonderful job and I love the enthusiasm that they have.... beautiful
Fantastic! This is my country, Kazakhstan! Welcome! I am glad that you visited Kazakhstan, thank you!
The Kazaks (often written erroneously as Cossacks) were known for their horsemanship back in the day. They were the people who could pick up a hanky from the ground with their teeth at a full gallop... you never hear too much about them any more but the grasslands of Kazakhstan was where they originated...
Old Soviet cars are very sturdy!! Much better made than the recent ones ;) So don’t be afraid. They go through bumpy roads and waters )
This video was so cute! What a beautiful country❤️
you guys provide such a nice history of places accompanied with beautiful shots of the scenery - amazing! Thanks for showing the country in such a way. I'm glad you enjoyed it :))

Thanks for sharing such a nice video about Kazakhstan. Definitely on my visit list. Love, love and tons of love from Pakistan to the nice brotherly Kazakhs.
You uploaded amazing travel vlog. Big thumbs up. Thanks for infos.
It is absolutely amazing here! I moved to Kazakhstan a few years ago and it has opened so many business opportunities as well as beautiful scenery! I’ve been traveling from city to city like: Petropavlsk, Karaganda, Astana, Burabay, Atyrau, Aktau, Fort Shevchenko, Almaty and much more! They are all absolutely amazing. I have even learned one of the traditional instruments from here! The only difficulty for me is being vegetarian here, otherwise the rest is great! I study in a British school so I found many other Kazakh and native English speakers who helped me understand Russian better! 🥰💓 My sister also does CZcams to document her experience in this country her channel is ‘ayasadventures’ 💞
Do you have any tips for visiting? I am a 17 year old wanting to travel to Almaty next summer from the USA, thanks.

the Stans are super high on our list! Have wanted to go to Pakistan for so long, but now adding Kazahstan to the list! Thanks for sharing!
Pakistan has nothing to do with Kazakhstan though
@@bauerjan7887 "stans" referring to the region of the world including, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, etc. Of course they are all different, just a region of the world I would love to visit!
To clear it out - Stan is a Persian suffix for land. So it's Kazakhstan its Kazakland, Türkistan is Turkland etc.
@@RaisingVoyagers Pakistan is not in the same region with Kazakhstan

Congratulations on all your success 600 K subscribers 🥳🥳🥳 Love you guys ❤️❤️
Really love this latest video. The van you are driving is called an UAZ. I'm American, but grew up in Ukraine close to the Russian border, and this is what we drove as our personal vehicle. ZERO shocks, as you experienced here. What's hilarious about them is that the engine is located INSIDE of the vehicle, right between the driver and passenger seats. My dad used to "pop the hood" WHILE he was driving down the road, in order to diagnose any engine problems, hahahaha. Also works great in the winter as the engine keeps you warm! Great Vlog as always!
The lake in the forest shown in the video seems to be really good.
And it seems good to walk in tall conifers.
Thank you for the good video.

In Kazakhstan before main dish is ready we put all the best we have on the table. Appetizers, sweets, pastries, meat assortments and many more. This shows the hospitality of Kazakh people. This is why you thought that desserts came first. 😁😆
