Not only is your video, so so cool but I’ve only got three minutes into it and I can say you have done a fantastic job of making a 10 minute video only three minutes into it and I can’t even explain to you how exciting it is to see you go go from basic to finish job. I have to pause and come back, but I want to say I don’t leave comments on videos but this is how they all should be straight to the point let’s get into it show us what we came to see. @@BuiltCruisers I just watched this again now (after owning mine for 2 years). I am inspired. Just fitted Tough Dog suspension and Air Lift airbags. Cutting the hole for the snorkel soon. Love the color you painted yours (mine is also red). Cheers
@ getting carried away .. I do know the feeling ... did the same on an FJ back in UAE lol ... was a blast .... put 438,000km on my beast sold it to a guy in Kazakhstan who's still driving it .... car stories with a twist ... U gotta love that dirty coffee color on 4WDs .....
Saw you at the lights on South Road today waiting to drive up Shepherd Hills Rd. I thought the Prado looked great and noticed the YT channel tag on the back. Impressed by the mods that have made the Prado look so much better and off road capable. Love the LED headlights that take years off the look of the vehicle. However, I hope it’s a helluva lot quicker than you showed today going up that hill.

oh my god, this guy put not 33s but 35s on a fookin prado 90. the absolute madman, the balls. and despite doing this the build looks clean and functions practical.

Hey really like the look of your Prado … I have a Prado 90 in NZ and paint is great but the mouldings wheel arches etc are fading I want to make them black like yours did you have them painted or is a raptor coat or similar thanks

Interesting to see the colour changes you went through. I've got the same colour scheme going on as what yours was originally. I wanted to paint my bonnet + guards and alloy bullbar black as well but now I see what yours looked like, I don't know if I like it against the red/maroon colour. So that just saved me going down a path I would have regreatted, so thanks for that haha!

Hey brother, how have you found the black paint on the trims has stood the test of time, and what paint did you use? I’m thinking of slapping some on mine, looks mint
just flat black in a can, a light sand on the rims at least would make a huge difference
Just bought myself a 90 after moving so South Africa! Out of interest, when you spray the lower trim that all around the doors and arches, can you remove it to spray or mask up spray it in place?
I sprayed it in place.
I'm thinking of buying a Prado, year make 2000. What should I be aware of in terms of wear and tear parts that I would need to replace in worse case scenario. Sorry for such general questions. Thank you for making this video.

Nice ride! I have a question, where did you find the plastic headlight surrounds to convert the original headlights into circular 7" leds? I found some on ebay but they were too expensive

I have a 90 series prado my self, i want to build it tough like yours but honestly im scared and got no one to help me sadly.
How did you do
If you haven’t touched it just dont. Sound deadening, Cooper discovers in OE size, radio and roof rack/roof tent are about all Id recommend. Push bar if you’re going to use it, EBC pads/rotors if you want all the stop, Bilstein suspension in OE height if you want the stiffness. Starting to touch suspension geometry can lead to odd handling if done wrong, drilling holes in the body can lead to rust in more humid climates, over sized tires can add excessive strain to suspension and steering components. Toyotas are reliable because, typically, theyre well thought out and built. Ive seen my fair share of Tacomas here in the states that have been lifted, modded and frankly have become barely functional far more than someone who built the tacoma from the ground up to be a purpose built rig that cant be daily driven, but will run circles around everything else on the trail. I learned the same lessons with my Bronco, do nothing in half measures.
