I love that you got emotional about your own work. ANY customer should be proud to have you working for them. WELL DONE !!
Of the several hundred youtubers on my list, yours are the ones I look forward to the most. Great work.
Good work, Richard I see you elevated in your craft been following you since day one. I’m also an interior trim, fanatic.
6/11/23;..garage door to yard..2-part molding fitting & install...yup looks very good!
Also, that Makita chop saw...looks brand new!..no dust on it! Nice! Stay safe & carry on !👍👏😊🍺
Dude you should be so proud of that. That is no joke one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. It's clean and crisp and classic. Absolutely stunning.
That looks amazing! It’s impressive to see how much you’ve grown and expanded over the last 2 years + since I’ve started following you. Great job and thank you for the lessons my friend. I also just realized that the casing around the window in your shop behind the chop saw is Makita Blue…NIIIIICE!
That last 20 seconds of the video....your pride...your happiness....and with me, on my jobs...the relief that crunching all the details, phone calls, subcontractor meetings....sorting through product at the lumber yard, addressing customer concerns, paperwork....all the steps and crunching to get to that end product. That last 20 seconds is the payoff. And of course, the $$$$$. But, to start from nothing except the customers hopes and dreams and deliver it...... when you stood and stared silently for a few seconds.....dopey look on your face.... I totally get it , Richard. Nothing beats that feeling of standing back and admiring your work when you've really nailed it! Thanks for putting out all the content over the years, I've learned a lot from you, and continue to.
Thank you, I can't recall ever seeing a door frame out like this. Appreciate you sharing this with us.
I’m so glad you did this video! People have such a unrealistic idea of how good looking trim is done.
Shout out to the filmer, getting those tight shots and then getting you back in frame without causing motion sickness.
Been watching forever. It's nice that you still point out the fundamentals like easying into the cut line.
Can’t believe it’s been over a year since you built that door!
Oddly surreal to be a part of your journey for afar lol.
Bro, I love the satisfaction and enthusiasm you have for your work. Excellent!
I worked in finishing before learning how to build and trim millwork. 100 percent made me better at trimming! Everyone should have to do that first before learning how to trim, it will only make you better!
Nice work. Great to see your high level of pride. Good stuff, thanks.
Awesome video. Beaded casing is beautiful. Maybe you can show how to use the jack miter it as well. Very cool method
"And we're finally going to trim out the door that we built over a year ago."
These are actually soothing words, good sir. Makes me feel better about the 10 projects I have going on.
No.... What's amazing is your craftsmanship and attention to detail !!!
this was very entertaining to watch and to finally see the end result was really stunning.
I have been following you since your very beginning on CZcams. I have learned so much valuable information. It helped me to take that first step in my home renovation these last 6 years, more than you know. Everytime I feel rushed I remember your body language and mannerisms to just slow down and do good work. This video is going to be my favorite video.
Go slow, be sure and take a step back and look at my work.
I appreciate that.
Truly

AWESOME and OUTSTANDING case work. Can't expect anything else from on EXPERT like you. You are THE MAN of Door Casing Masterclasses.
Trim makes a house. You are so right. Because of the custom trim work that I did in a previous house, my realtor upped the listing price 20K. I git too. Just as important is quality hardware.
@Finish Carpentry TV
It’s absolutely amazing!
I actually learned a lot on how to mill from this video!
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this for us!
Self actualization is rare and I believe I just witnessed it. Amazing work. You’ve come along way since demonstrating CA glue on a hilltop with a hefty breeze.
It looks great 🥳
this just shows you have mastered your craft
With your first description of job
I thought it was
Going to be ugly...
But the end results
My mind changed
It's actually very
Good results.....
Actually impressive!
Was moving to see your appreciation for the trim work man, i totally get it. Perfect patient workmanship.
It looked good on assembly and dry fit, but once you primed and and fully assembled and then set it in place…. 😮😮😮😮
Sooo gorgeous!
Heck yeahhhhhh prime the back to seal. Thanks for the great tip.
@18:20 That feeling when you works honestly pays dividends. Amazing work, excellent video. Appreciate the time you put into your work and these videos.
Always a pleasure to see someone enjoy the results they achieve.
Man this is great! You inspired me to do my own carpentry even though I have no experience. I built a domino table and came out great just by following your attention to detail as well as tips and tricks.
Richard, I'm proud of you and your work. Almost everything I know about trim carpentry I have learned from you, don't worry, I'm an old fart and am not in competition with you. Love how you are progressing. Some day I'll make my own doors and make them look stunning.
Sometimes you just gotta sit/stand and appreciate your own work. Put everything aside and just appreciate what you did and how beautiful it is. You absolutely knocked this out of the park.
Great video love seeing traditional trim work, out of the countless houses I’ve built and remodeled we’ve only done Home Depot style trim in million dollar houses
Totally relate to the enjoyment you have at the end of this one. I’ve had a blast trimming out our downstairs with craftsman casings after putting in new floors
Great job. A small hint about using the pinch clamps. Wrap a rubber band around the tips. The handle will be held apart and gentle squeeze will spread the tips making clamping and removing the springs a snap.
Hi Richard, really appreciate the work you put into these video’s awesome craftsmanship been a viewer from the beginning great to see how far you have come 👍👍
Stunning! I share your passion, it’s perfect, love it can’t stop looking at it.
Definitely something to be PROUD of GREAT JOB!
Damn dude you put out such quality content. Really appreciate your videos.
Absolutely beautiful, it’s so nice to see somebody so passionate about their craft! It’s definitely lost in a throw away world of cheap and fast
Wow! Definitely amazing work! Attention to detail is awesome!
Loved watching this video, can't wait to use these tips.
Looks great and tis type of work sets a home apart from others.
Fantastic video, impressive skill and craftsmanship. Thank you.
Thanks, I am currently removing all the contractor grade trim and installing Craftsman style trim. Slow going but well worth it
Awesome work, you make it look so simple
Gotta love the Richard whistle of approval! Really nice work!
Great work, Richard~! You always make everything look so easy. Looking forward to my chance at this some time.
Fantastic!!! I can feel the love.
Thanks for the video.
just started my carpentry business about year and a half ago and your videos are very helpful I watch your videos see how you do it and then go out and charge a bunch of money cant thank you enough.
WOW amazing craftsmanship. That door looks great 😃.
Looks great, you make it look easy!
It looks great. Wonderful workmanship.
You my friend have an amazing attention for detail and that is why you continue to excel at your profession. I think before it is all said and done we will look back and say we were looking at an artisan in the making. The millwork around that door looks amazing. Keep up the great videos.
Just washing your project and the passion of you building wow it’s amazing
Looks fantastic !!!
I love how much you love this.
Looks good and clean.
Millwork, definitely makes a house. It gives a room a grander appearance. A room without millwork looks incomplete. Cheers, from Brooklyn, NYC.
Bad ass Richard! Keep 'em coming....👊👌
Very good. Much appreciated craftsmanship
Looks amazing 👏!
Beautiful work.
Finally someone who understands how important the IECC is.. especially since he is in zone 3 (the humid zone)!
That door casing is a celebration! 👍🎉
I am actually crying ? It’s magnificent! I gotta go now!,, Pro finish carpenter out!

I agree....the millwork/trim really makes or breaks the aesthetics of a room/home....I recently redid the baby's room and every now n then I'll go in there and pull the curtains back and just kinda take another look....it was my first time doing something like that so I didn't exactly break the bank on quality/high end trim but it's still makes a huge difference compared to the other bedrooms. Great video as always! Enjoy your content !! Thanks !!!!!
Amazing. Wished I had a pinch of your craftsmanship.
So flush and so clean!
No cabe duda que usted Ama su trabajo ... FELICIDADES !!! Nice Job !
Great work !
Yet another great video
Beautiful!
truly amazing.
Richard! After you had it completely installed and took in that pure / honest moment of job satisfaction, I could literally feel your joy, like it was my own. In a word your work is “Outstanding”.
I have a question… what does one do when they have a door that’s jammed into the corner of the room and won’t allow them to make the left and right side vertical legs equal in width?
That’s the problem with videos like this…true craftsmen make this look toooo easy! Most excellent
Lovely indeed !
Looks great
You are an artist
As a retired electrician, I really learn alot from you. Thanks, and your door casing looks GREAT.
Absolutely crazy ... richard tried to scam his subscribers using telegram , your partner asks for $3,500 for crypto accounts,. I sent the accounts to CZcams, and klever with all the details and link to the accounts and transaction list. I mean what is the deal trying to scam your own subscribers?
@@user-uk2ls1bc1h their has been a scam on all you tube accounts offering you everything but is nothing.
@@user-uk2ls1bc1h scamers have been on everyone's response page. A lot of creators coming out n telling us DON'T FALL FOR THE PRIZE GIVE AWAY. It's not them.
That was awesome thank you for sharing
Great job.
Nice Job Richard !!!!!!! 😊😊😊😊😊😇
Came out great
I agree 1000% with that choice of door and trim u nailed it 👍🏻pun intended
Whistle of Approval indeed!
Beautiful
Awesome!
Nice work once again Richard , well explained. Miss that old church remodel that must have been a great job to be on
The other day I saw a block just like yours during a hearing on at the capitol. I believe they were stone because they looked very "dingy" compared to the white trim. The one difference was about about 3/4 of an inch of the trim on the door side (your beaded side) continued past the block all the way to the floor
When I did my two piece door casings I glued and tacked the back-band on first. That way I only have to cut the miters once since I'm cutting the casing and back-band as one piece. Speeds up the install.
Hello Richard and all your subscribers I thought you all might want to look at Robin Clevett making some external doors for his house (U.K.) title of his video is...Making a pair of front doors, my super expensive front doors are finally being made Part 1. all the best Peter..
A year since you’ve made that door ?!?! Feels like it was yesterday when I was watching the video of you making it !!!
Art!
Master Class... nice!
Awsome Richard, Thanks for sharing such great information. The off 90 degree wall interference was a golden tip for any DIY'er having a fitment issue.
