Very useful 🎉 Thank you!
Thanks Annette! More FunnelKit videos coming
It's a pity that there are no Elastic Email Sender instructions for sending SMTP to FunnelKit Automations. Hope you have a tutorial on Elastic Email soon 🙏
I just installed the Elastic Email WordPress plugin, added my API Key. Next, I went to FunnelKit Automations > Settings > General > Email and copied the Bounce Tracking URL from here and pasted it into my Elastic Email account... then everything worked. Also, I just followed the domain authentication steps in the Elastic Email setup wizard and added the records to my DNS. What are you having trouble with? I can maybe make a video on it for you
@@GrantAmbrose Added the records to my DNS is a problem for newbies like me, Besides, it's not really clear what Bounce Tracking has in FunnelKit Automations and why to use it. I thought it would be great to have a video for newbies on Elastic Email subscriptions and setup from scratch to make automation on FunnelKit Automations easy.
Many of my friends don't even really understand what SMPT is, just think that FunnelKit Automations will send Email Marketing on their own (Sometimes they still use SMTP Gmail to do this) They don't really understand the difference. What is the difference between Gmail SMTP and Elastic Email's SMTP, and if you start using Elastic Email API, which package should you use for how many emails/Month ?
Ok great they’re all good points. I’ll make
a video on this
Hi @@GrantAmbrose - do you know when the SMPT / Elastic Email video will fit your schedule? Thank you! I understand the difference mentioned by Châu but would love a kind of walkthrough like you did so very well in your video above.
@@GrantAmbrose Awesome, Hope to have a video for this soon.
Hello, Hope not to miss the information. Didn't know you released the Video tutorial on Elastic Email?
Hello! I was doing the math and I think for me it's actually more affordable to go back to SendGrid. How about you?
@@GrantAmbrose Yes, I also see FunnelKit now leaving SendGrid in 2nd place just behind Amazon SES. And I think SendGrid will also be easier with Amazon SES, Optional payment is also better than mailgun. I also see a lot of small and medium businesses have chosen SendGrid (Even Adam WPCrafter is using SendGrid) Hope to see a Video sharing your experience soon 🙏
Great video! I'm using bricks and this was helpful. I'm also setting up woocomerce and all the funnelkit plugins. I watched your previous Bricks focused funnel setup, but I haven't found anything about the initial setup process on getting started. It sell digital courses and subscription services and first time using woocommerce. I'm moving from Thrivecart and Active Campaign. Any insight on setting things up?
I’ll make some initial setup vids as I haven’t done any yet. I think you’re going to really like having it all inside of WordPress. I was using the same setup before (ActiveCampaign and ThriveCart). What mainly caused you to look for another alternative? Did it just feel a bit disjointed for you, too?
@@GrantAmbrose Yeah, I watched an previous video from you made about 6 months or more.
For the Non-Native webhook automation, is there a particular reason why the Update Fields action was used and not Create Contact? Also can't we bypass the link trigger setup by simply using the subscribe merge tag inside the email with a redirect to a thank you page?
yep you're correct about both of these. I am not sure why I chose update field here, that was a weird choice. Maybe because I was focused on the mapping fields in the next step my mind was just thinking fields haha. Good catches
Is it possible to import data from excel or csv and map them with funnel kit automations fields? Something similar is possible in fluent crm.
Yeah definitely. Initially I did that to import my ActiveCampaign contacts
Hi Grant! Loving all your content :) In another video that you have, you recommended putting in a 5 min delay + an upsell after they complete that first form... is it possible to still do that within the front end funnel sequence (so its all in one flow), or is that delay of 5 min feature only in automations and then the process you taught here not possible? Hope that's clear...
Hello! I replied on your other comment and will try help you there - thanks!
Might be a stupid question... why is it necessary to set up and map out the fields in the "forms" tab in Funnelkit automations? I have the forms already in a funnel, and I also have an automation sequence set up starting with the trigger of the form being completed they then get tagged.
Should I instead set up the form in the forms tab, map the fields (otherwise Fname and email wont be added??), add the tag there, and then start my automation sequence instead with the trigger of "When tagged" instead of "form completed". A benefit there is that I could send the email confirmation email in 5 min and leave them on the "check your email in 5 min" step/page to do an upsell like you taught in your other video...
Thanks for your advice!
what's the end goal of what you're doing? You want someone to double opt-in and then once done, you'll send them to an order form to purchase a product?
@@GrantAmbrose the goal is to collect emails. I’m sending paid traffic into this lead magnet funnel.
To help recoup ad costs + convert a few of these leads into high ticket clients I’m employing your strategy from another video where after they put in their details for their freebie, the next funnel step is “Success. Your PDF will be sent in 5 min” then “WAIT… (offer for consulting services).
How many emails and contacts it allows to include?
there is no limit. It's a fixed price for the plugin with no extra costs based on the number of contacts you have
