I finally stopped letting him back in. Now the next challenge begins, healing. Through this process a special person really helped me. I never had the chance to tell anyone what I went through. I ran from the problem for so long and it finally caught up. It hit me, hard and sometimes it still hurts. Not because of my affection towards him anymore but because of the scars. That special person listened and I was finally able to lift the weight that had been building up for two years. The lesson I learned from this was not to run away from your problems, not to excuse the inexcusable, and to find help in the people that you trust.

maxwell-1212 jesus I appreciate your input but just because you've been there doesn't mean you've been me. You don't know what I've been through and likewise I don't know you. My ex has in fact tried to get me back multiple times after I decided to permanently walk away and I never considered taking him back. So I've been there multiple times too darling. Like I said that person has helped me and it doesn't matter whether or not I'm dating them the point is I was finally able to get the help I needed. I'm too strong to fall back into an abusive relationship again and that is the point. I'm here as proof that you're able to walk away from a toxic relationship and find happiness again whether it's by yourself or with others.

I've prayed so many times for God to remove these feelings I have for this man. I can't take these mixed signals anymore. He treats me like I mean everything to him.
