      But the Thrustmaster TX has a better road feel (force feedback) and better compatibility with most racing games. You can buy clutch/pedals if you really want it. But lets face it most the games run so fast its hard to keep up with a clutch/pedal these days and even pro racing they use the paddle shifters...

    Would you rather get a plastic wheel that slips around with only 2 pedals. Or Have a wheel with leather that is sharp and has 3 pedals and a shifter?
    G920 Is way better.

    • @AOR_Dobby
      @AOR_Dobby Před 7 lety +21

      That's your fault mate. You can easily change the brake settings in most of the games. I've done it myself so you dont have to take the pedals apart. You can't blame them. Plus it feels more realistic imo.

    • @iloveyourstoriesluna311

      dude dont think about that the g920 has leather on it
      no one cares
      it is expensive
      in my opinion this thing is fucking expensive
      i would rather get the thrustmaster one
      i like the design of it
      i dont like shifting with a ''stick'' (i'm not english so i call it that)
      it has a d-pad that says ''engine start'' that i'm going to customize as engine start in ets 2
      and if you use the leather g920 wheel is going to warn out fast beacause you move your hand a lot on it
      and if it gets sweaty then is slippery

    • @AOR_Dobby
      @AOR_Dobby Před 6 lety +2

      Viktorz 22 I havent seen a single one with worn out leather, my mate has the g27 thats like 5 years old and still works and looks new. So dont talk bullshit. Also you can shift with gear pedals. And with the g920 comes with a clutch and the trustmaster doesnt, you have to buy a expensive pedal set so its even more expensive in the end.

    ty for the comparision. I bought the TX Leather edition yesterday which has the better wheel and the 3 pedals for 380€. The G920 is currently available for 260€. I did a lot of research over the years and the Logitech could never grab my attention, its just too expensive for the value.
    I think the Logitech G920 is the best "toy" wheel you can get where the TX Leather Edition is the start of a pro equipment. If you can get the leather edition for a good price its way above the Logitech wheels.. but I wouldn't recommend the default TX Racing wheel.. 1:1 (they cost now the same) the Logitech is overall better (quality of pedals etc) but if you spend ~100€ more for the Leather Edition you get a good package which has the quality of the G920 + better Force Feedback, better steering and better game support and later you can buy the shifter which is far beyond the Logitech.. + if one thing breaks after the warranty, you can just replace the broken module and not throw everything in to the trash..

    I have the Thrustmaster TX (with that awful 458 rim) and I find it is notchy if you want to make tiny adjustments in Euro Truck simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator when trying to stay straight and in your lane. Other than that its a big step up from the Fanatec CSR that I had. Still the Thrustmaster T150 was a fantastic wheel too. It had very strong FFB and I felt more FFB effects in all my games compared to the Fanatec wheel. The Thrustmaster TX wheel is slightly stronger than the T150 but its a bit more dampened so some FFB effects seem to be missing. I do want to get that 30CM wheel thrustmaster makes though.

    with the load cells coming out for the Thrustmaster, im going back to Thrustmaster. The pedals are nice on the Logitech but when your a big dude, squeezing your foot between the clutch and break, sucks. Also on the Thrustmaster you can replace parts when they break. Logitech your basically buying a whole new rig. But if your serious about racing sims i would get a csl elite.

  • @warlok9
    @warlok9 Před 4 lety

    I’m in strange position. I have a TMX Pro set which includes the upgraded pedals that also come with the leather edition TX. Problem is the TMX wheel is malfunctioning only after light usage. (The dpad and buttons are showing “pressed” when they are not). No firmware fixes or booting was able to fix it. Upon taking it apart I was rather unimpressed with the TMX build quality. How much better built is the TX model over the TMX?
    I’m torn between just going with Logitech because of their bulletproof reliability or just getting the TX 458 edition and utilizing the upgraded Thrustmaster pedals I already have. I can basically get either one right now for $370 usd +tax.
    I have watched countless videos on comparing the g920 and the TX and most come away saying the G920 is impressive. I have even watched some tear downs of the g920 and that thing is built like a tank inside. Even the pedal build quality is impressive. Way more metal used, whereas the TMX I took apart was plastic everywhere.

    • @MotoGamesTV
      @MotoGamesTV  Před 4 lety +1

      It really depends on what you're expecting from the wheel. G920 and G29 are basically the same construction as G27, so they're old. TX is upgraded version of TMX, with better construction and better Force Feedback system. You also have an option to change wheel rim. Sadly, I've never used TMX long enough to be sure that it's better than G920. But if we compare G920 and TX, TX is better. Especially with quiter force feedback. But question is: do you want to pay extra for those features?

    I got the G920 almost a month ago. Seriously thinking of returning it & getting the TX.
    Biggest complaints: brake pedal is so siff it's useless unless significantly reduce the range (unless I remove/replace the rubber stopper, voiding the warranty), and the wheel's gears aren't terribly smooth & kind of noisy, but a bit quieter than my last wheel, I think a Logitech Driving Force.

      I have the same wheel and I'm looking to switch to the TX/T300 as well, my main issue with the G920/G29 base is the lack of feedback towards dead center, that lack of feel there really really throws me, and from what I understand the TX/T300 base with it's belts and brushless motor are better in that department.

    Before comparing prices from different countries, make sure that you take "value added tax", import duty and shipment into consideration. In America, prices are shown without value added tax. In germany we have 19% VAT and prices are usually are shown including that. Now take a wild guess why anything in Germany has a 20% higher price tag. Yes, VAT is a messy subject, but again: It can easily make 20% difference.

      Guillermo Aviles I think it is. But I know pretty much fuck all about wheels. The brake peddle on the G290 is really stiff because of the rubber bung, it can be taken out quite easily, and you can not change the rim on the base. And the noise of the gear driven FFB can get annoying.

It breaks fits my Xbox I could probably put my Xbox one s and a game with case on top and that’s how big it is. Would the clamp fit in there for the TX, please really need to know ASAP. 👍🏻

    For a first wheel, I'd say go for the Logitech one. It's a better starter package, it's got everything you need and the only additional thing you might want is the manual shifter, but that's not gonna make you faster so that's a niche accessory.
    The only issue with Logitech might be the force feedback but unless you drive in real life the cars you drive in the game you will never know how that car actually feels and probably will never have the same feeling because you need a motion rig for that. Also the difference between force feedback on Logitech vs Thrustmaster is only an issue if you have tried both, probably side by side.

    How does the TMX’s force feedback compare to the G920?

    • @xClintBeastwood
      @xClintBeastwood Před 4 lety +2

      I own both wheels as well as the TX leather edition. The TX has the strongest and best force feedback, but literally quit working within 3 months. The TMX has a smoother force feedback system than the logitech, but everything else on the g920 is better. The TMX looks like (and is) a cheap plastic wheel. The G920 is superior in looks, build quality of the wheel, brake petals, reliability etc.
      If I had to recommend one of the wheels, it would be the G920 due to product quality and cost as long as you don't mind having a slightly outdated feedback system. The TX is great, but they are unreliable and many people have problems with them. The TMX feels great in game, but is very poorly made compared to the Logitech and TX. Hope this helps!

    • @Bbknuckles
      @Bbknuckles Před 4 lety

      CIint Beastwood I ended up buying the TMXpro 2 weeks ago. I agree 100% that the G920 wheel is made with high quality materials. However the FFB seemed really clunky at times. Which is why I went with the TMX and I’ll say straight up that I’m happy with my decision. The plastic wheel doesn’t bug me as much as it bugs other people and the FFB is really smooth. I was afraid it wouldn’t have much force and feel like a toy but I’m glad I was wrong. It’s not extremely strong but it’s more than enough to enjoy any game that I play (I’m not a pro sim racer like some claim to be 😅). Also the price for the TMX was so much more appealing lol. Combine that with the aftermarket add-on’s available for the TMX I couldn’t pass it up. The shifter for Logitech’s G920 was terrible, another reason why I went with the TMX. It seems the only thing Logitech does better is the wheel quality.
      I plan on upgrading whenever the new console generation comes out. Hopefully they make a new wheel setup just for the Series X. I think I’ll stick with Thrustmaster but I’ll do more research before buying the TX or higher versions. I didn’t see any negative reviews so thank you for giving me the heads up! I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my original post, thanks again!

      @@Bbknuckles No problem. I'm glad you found a wheel that you like! I will probably buy another TX wheel at some point when it isn't $475 on Amazon.
      My only other advice to you is if you have an issue that requires you to contact Thrustmaster customer support, call them instead of emailing. Their email support sometimes will straight up ignore you haha. Good luck and I hope your wheel works great for a long time!
      Update: You helped me talk myself into it and I just blew $400 on another TX wheel lol! I'll let you know if this one breaks too 😂

  • @jsr1126
    @jsr1126 Před 5 lety

    The factor with the G920s force feedback is it's gear driven, it's what makes it so noisy, and the thrustmaster is belt driven. That's it really.

    @reviewforthetube6485 Před 4 lety +1

    This isnt even close lol anybody that doesnt choose the thrustmaster tx is weird idk why your even comparing it should be the thrustmaster tmx now against the g920 but that's when I would get the g920 and you keep forgetting those pedals are at least 10 bit on the thrustmaster the g920/g29 is only 8 bit so for f1 racing you want the higher bit rate

      I'm done with Fanatec. I bought a GT3RS V2 four years ago which broke after nine weeks , I got that replaced and the replacement wheel's Power adapter died two weeks after getting that wheel , Then they sent me a used power adapter , A few months later the wheel broke once again.
      Then I bought a CSR wheel (Non elite) that was good for a year and a half before the button that the right paddle engages started going mushy and eventually needed to be pressed more than once for it to realise its been engaged. Then shortly after that the USB connector on the wheel came loose and needs twiddling to work sometimes.
      I had a Logitech G25 for seven years that never once broke and I gave it to my brother four years ago and the wheel still works perfectly like the day I bought it.

    Well I bought a Force FeedbackTX Ferrari 458 NEW 3 days ago. I will be returning it tonight and buying a Logitec. It is nice to drive with the gas and brake pedals. They were never recognized by the base. They plugged in and were not coming out with a telephone style cable the lock latch did not latch when into the wheel base complete. I tried all the reset and calibration tricks from Thrustmaster and forums to no avail. I also read countless cases of this and many other issues with these now. On top of that playing a game for a short time from assigning 2 buttons on the wheel for gas and brakes in the middle of my 3rd short race the screen went black with a no controller found. I checked all cables were fully connected.
    BEWARE OF THIS PROUDUCT

    • @MotoGamesTV
      @MotoGamesTV  Před 6 lety

      If your pedals weren't working and cable didn't latch into place, maybe it was a faulty set - you should've returned and got another wheel no problem with working pedals. As for second problem - that also might be a game problem, not necessary the wheels'.
