I just finished my uraven and the issues I’ve been having are the ball joint at the waist letting go a lot (the joint itself doesn’t really feel loose, but when I pick it up by the chest they come apart easily) and the shield is incredibly loose. In both the connection to the backpack and the connection to itself for me. The new holding hands are also a little loose but I don’t have a problem with the forearm sections coming off like yours does.

Apparently, The Saturnix Armour is an Anti-Gundam Frame unit. So, our favourite demons from our beloved IBO series would probably be hissing at the sight of this guy 😂
Yes there are a lot of problems, one of them is that the core flyer unit always falls off the back and the beam sabers tends to fall down alot and wouldn't stay in place.
My Core Gundam II has been having joint issues. The torso likes to pop off, the right shoulder as well. It's as if the rubbery ball joints are slicked out, and have no friction to them. Not sure if the plastic/rubber is different, but after building Alus's Core Gundam today right after Saturnix, I notice there is a quality difference as Alus is WAAY more stable.
It would be great if P-Bandai released the kit with all of the planet armor system with two variants of the core gundam, which is core gundam and core gundam 2
For my core gundam 2, the issue i have is with the shield attatching to the back, unlike you, who is having troubles with the nose falling off of the shield in backpack form. Besides that, the shoulders are a bit tight and don't slide out easy (but hey, that just means you totta pull 'em out from elsewhere) and the waist tends to fall apart. And this is out of box. I just built mine today.
You forgot to mention the part in the manual where it said that this Armour was designed for use against Gundam Frames. Overwhelming power against overwhelming power.
A bit late to the party, but my Core Gundam II is solid. I had less problems with it than the various Core Gundams I. I think you could just have a weak polycap? My Mercone Core Gundam I had a loose bit that I had to reinforce. (Though, I guess that Core Gundam came from a spare Earthree). I've committed to building all these armors now. Just two more. Getting a very Ronin Warriors vibe from the Saturnix and the Hardrock Armor.
With everything going on in the world my saturnix kits and my Uraven kits are still in my private warehouse but, I will let you know when I finally get them if that issue with my core II occurs. By the way love the reviews Theyve been a join to watch and I can't wait to see more!
My core gundam mkII had the same waist problem...and the shield kept falling apart. Glued the shield together on the finished formation for when its on the back of the Uraven, and tacked the waist so it doesn't fall apart.
Core Gundam 2's definitely feeling off to me. The waist keeps disconnecting, and it feels like nothing is really solidly put on. I think a few coats of top coat and some joint stiffening will help immensely, but out of the box, Core 1 takes the cake.
Everyone else here making Gurren Lagann references, but here's the original drill arm: _DRILL... HURRICAAAAANE!!!_ Also, wow, I just noticed that the Ogre actually looks a lot like Getter 1/Shin Getter 1.
Hey mecha gaikotsu first just dissasemble the knee joint and put a little super glue and wait to dry attatch the knee joints back It works on my friends core gundam 2 he can pose it perfectly without having a knee joint problem
Just got Uraven and Saturnix! I can confirm my hands are loose as hell (been using the solid hands tho only) the knees FEEL wiggly but are fine so i think i dont attach the legs as well (that might be me). However its CHEST POLYCAP BALLS drive me insane. It has two! Why!!!! It makes the body fall off so im just frustrated when im swapping armor
Well. With my Uraven. I managed to fit in the shield at the back and it does not fall off. You just need to secure it a bit more than just clipping it in the slots. Regarding the arms, mine is solid as the earththree system. It does not fall off when attached. Regarding the knees though. It does tend to shake and feel loose.
Finally got my copy of the Uraven, yep the knees are weak and the hole for the waist seems to be too big for the polycap, though i think its an issue with the new parts entirely. The knee joints for the Core Gundam II seem to fit more loosely compared to the first Core Gundam which was more snug. A little super glue fixed things and My Core Gundam II is now solid as a rock. The issue with the shield seems to be caused by the pegs not plugging in all the way when you flip them around when connecting to the back pack, thickening these pegs should solve the problem
I know this is an old video BUT i just have to say that I REALLY HOPE we get a TRANSFORMABLE version of this BA Gundam in Metal Build form at some point in the future. ! 😁
I have to ask how you're handling the core gundam, how often do you fiddle with it? Full disclosure, I haven't built the Uranus armor yet because I've been having fun with the Core II, for about a week I've had it on the stand in flight mode. When I have it in robot mode I pose it then put it back on the stand to display. I haven't noticed any looseness in the joints or waist, but then again I'm not handling it that much.
Saturnix seven Gunpla tools armament just popped into my head. It would totally not be surprising if it was supposed to have seven weapons, like: a pilebunker tonfa, Two screw whips, Shield w/ demolition chain-mine launcher, beam shotgun, And beamsword. Or, just go full construction equipment
Have you tried washing the runners with soap before building the kits? Even without the purpose of painting, for me the soap adds extra grip to the plastic especially the joints so they don't come loose over time, i use the dishwashing kind
My Core Gundam 2 has no issues with most of its hard-points, except the shield which falls off the backpack at the slightest touch. The shield itself won't stay together either, it constantly falls apart into it's two main units.
Orange is an unlucky color in any Sunrise anime (AFAIK, only TV versions of Heavyarms and its upgrade got lucky) Hope Saturnix will be given a good treatment once Re:Rise introduces it after their return.
it's not just the core gundam ii that has the issue of dropping the hand along with the armor but also the core gundam that came with the earthree has that too (idk if it's an isolated case on mine or its a rising problem for the core gundam)
I got 2 core gundam, lets called it A (old) and B (new) from mine, A and B both got loose ankle (knee if wearing armor) A got loose waist while B doesn't A cockpit part always falls off, B also like to fall off but not as much as a A got 1 wrist join that like to pop off while B seems fine front skirt part of both A and B seems to be not a perfect fit for the older armor (earthree, marsfour, etc) cause they kept falling off (too loose) while newer armor (uraven, saturnix) seems to be a perfect fit
I thought it is only happening in my kit but apparently not. The shoulder armor, wrist, backpack and the saber holder fell off all the time. Took me a while to fix it because the shoulder armor doesn't stick on the core gundam or the support unit.
I don't have a Core Gundam 2, but I have the loose forearms and waist problem with my original Core Gundam from the Marsfour... It started ok, but after a few weeks it was falling apart at the seams. Have you noticed that in your Core Gundam originals too, or am I unlucky and it's normally just worse in the new one? Hearing you mention it for this Core and not the first version has put some doubts in my mind about getting the Uraven. Does the Alus one have this problem too?
My core gundam 2 as far as I have trouble I have been having is that sometimes it's seperates at the chest, where the white and red pieces connect. Hands I can't say because I keep in core gundam mode and not in uraven but I don't have the knee problems as far as I know. I solved my separating chest problem by using a thin amount of super glue on the joints before reconnecting to thicken the parts. It may squeak a bit at first but can be solved by bending him back and forth for a bit.
I have been having issues with the core gundam 2 as well. The arm extenders wont stay if I ass weapons and the front skirts wont even stay on. I have no issues with any of the other Core Gundams
So I just built Uraven today and my Core Gundam II has some real issues with the poly caps in the abdomen. Any time move the top half, the bottom half falls off. Not sure if painting the internal sockets a bit will help, but it’s definitely not as stable as the first Core Gundam.
Just built my core gundam 2, mine had this issue with the waist joint, the polycap included for the waist section is too loose that I have to tighten it with paint, the knees to the leg armor connection for mine seems abit loose but that makes the attachment of the leg planet armor more easier, and also the back pack/shield unit keeps falling when I place it in the planet armor configuration mode.

cause they kept falling off (too loose) while newer armor (uraven, saturnix) seems to be a perfect fit
If talking about hyped, the new HBDRR Astray New Frame / Aircraft is making me hyped. It looks like astray no name but same form not seperated
Yeap, I do have in fact almost have the exact issues as you do have Mecha.
I do somehow just fix it with some cement.
Here's one thing I can do with those slightly loose torso for the Core Gundam II.... Low-key ab crunch!
It seems the Core Gundam MK2 x Jupiter Armor is an awesome combo.. I might add some parts to enhance the way it looks. 😍
The part that connects and allows the rotation of the drill and the pliers, is it a 3mm peg/hole system too or or is it just designed for those parts?
My core gundam 2 as far as I have trouble I have been having is that sometimes it's seperates at the chest, where the white and red pieces connect. Hands I can't say because I keep in core gundam mode and not in uraven but I don't have the knee problems as far as I know. I solved my separating chest problem by using a thin amount of super glue on the joints before reconnecting to thicken the parts. It may squeak a bit at first but can be solved by bending him back and forth for a bit.
I would recommend trying to put on cement on the parts the connected the plant system to give it a bit of sturdy connection.
We're not getting a pluto special huh?
I'm having some issues with the arms and shoulders on my core 2. The front skirts don't even stay on. The regular core was much more solid
I had that problem you're describing with the Core Gundam 2 with the Core Gundam 1. The shoulder armor never stays on.
For me, I have some polycap issues with the right arm of the core gundam 2. Have no issues with both hands attachment and the core defender
The Saturnix's color gives me a construction vehicle vibe.
I have been having issues with the core gundam 2 as well. The arm extenders wont stay if I ass weapons and the front skirts wont even stay on. I have no issues with any of the other Core Gundams
You should do more hg full metal panic reviews, I've bought the majority of them & they're awesome, especially the falke
*FINALLY A LESS THAN 20MINS REVIEW BY MECHA*
I honestly prefer the Earthree (?), maybe it's my bias of the colour blue and being from Earth.
So I just built Uraven today and my Core Gundam II has some real issues with the poly caps in the abdomen. Any time move the top half, the bottom half falls off. Not sure if painting the internal sockets a bit will help, but it’s definitely not as stable as the first Core Gundam.
I got the Armor and weapons but not an extra Uraven kit! I can't find anymore of them!!!
