People in the commments should leave recommendations for spooky fall reads, I'll start first: pet semtary by stephen king its short horror novel exploring grief
i would add the houseguest by amparo davila! short stories that explore the way paranoia manifests itself in the psyche

ur home is coming together so well…and i think a vinyl collection tour is needed now cuz ur music taste is amazing…ps love the bookshelf and that it doubles as a tv stand :)

Enjoyed your tour and insights to your choices.

Yes, I love to hear you chat about books and writing. I'm wondering if you have read any Mieko Kawakami? If you're looking for translated literature recommendations, I have to say her work is great. And Han Kang! The White Book is a collection of very beautiful prose. Also Cold Nights of Childhood by Tezer Ozlu; it's very very short, but beautiful. Hope I didn't recommend too much, I am just really excited.
yes i’ve read both breasts & eggs from kawakami and the white book! really liked both of them. i’ll have to check out tezer ozlu’s work, i haven’t read it yet! thanks for the recs 🫶🏽
