I just repurpose those sunscreens I don't like on my face to use on my body 🤭 That way I have an excuse to buy new sunscreen products for the face 💕
Always good to use up what you have!👍
this is perfect, thank you! ❤
I was recently in Japan and there were many cheap sunscreens, I bought the new Biore one, it's really fluid so it can spill easily but it's easy to spread and is completely clear. I use it for both face and body.
Thanks Kelly. Longtime fan of the Nivea UV Super Water Gel. Just refilled my bottle this morning 😊
the kose sunscreen has been holding me down all summer! im already on my second bottle LOL!! i actually love this formula for my face and it works perfectly for my acne-prone, dehydrated but very oily skin! it absorbs quickly into my skin, dries down beautifully, and reapplies like a dream with ZERO WHITE CAST!!! for all the darkskin people out there, THIS IS THE SUNSCREEN YOU'RE LOOKING FOR!!!!
I agree, I love how weightless it feels! And no weird white streaks when you sweat!
The Kose sunscreen pills on my face sadly. But the light texture is amazing! I would use it on my body though.
@@KellyDriscoll yessss omgg !
@@YT-bv7ke i’ve actually heard a couple people talk about the pilling 🥲 i use 4-5 products under this sunscreen daily, from watery toners to creamy emulsion serums and i’ve never had any problems with pilling😭 everyone’s skin is so different LOL !
i agree. LOVEEEEE KOSE
Hi kelly , love your videos so much 😊 ❤ xx
I love your sunscreen videos most of all! I have all four of these in my stash and use them about the same way that you do they are so great- especially the Nivea one.
I'm so glad you like them too, great sunscreen wardrobe!
Great video! You explained the scientifical part so well. As someone who is not so Versed in it, I could understand that lol. But it makes so much sense and I think coppertone is definitely my choice although I have used Nivea in humidity and it holds up so well, under makeup too
Can you make a video on all your Holy Grails products from each of your best brands. Like one best product from each of all the brands you love.
Thank you, Kelly.
Love this video. I’m a long-time user of the Nivea uv super water gel too!
Question: Have you tried the Skin aqua uv super moisture gel? If so, how does it compare in texture to the Kose suncut uv perfect gel in your video? I ask because Skin aqua’s is also marketed for “water resistant and light sunscreen for body”
I saw on bloomingkoco website (us based style Korean website) that illyoon has a large 200ml of sunscreen I am curious about it but will probably try next summer.
I am currently using Vichy Gentle Protective Milk SPF 50+ and Garnier Advanced Sensitive Serum Ceramide Protect SPF 50+ (EU). Both are good for body and face. The Vichy is a little richer, the Garnier is lighter. The don't cause eye irritation.
Thankyou for this interesting video 😊
I've always wondered what the difference between Western Nivea and Kao Nivea is...
I'm always happy when Kelly posts a new video 🩷🩵💜
It's confusing there is a whole Japanese line of Nivea stuff and it's all more exciting than the nivea stuff in my local drugstore!😂
Juz wan to share my experience here for the Kose Suncut sunscreen, I use tis sunscreen on my face and tis was pilling for me which sucks. In fact LabMuffin oso experienced tis, so try it first b4 buying it in bulk. Thanks for the video!!
If you ever want the best deal for body sunscreens go to Walmart after the summer season. In the cosmetics clearance section sunscreens are usually marked down a LOT. They all list their expiration dates too. I usually buy all of my sunscreen for the next year in the fall and winter months. They don’t list these online since it varies from store to store. Ive gotten coppertone, banana boat, neutrogena, cerave, etc. for like $3-$5.
The expiration dates can be found printed into the bottle at the top if its a tube and the bottom if its a pump.
I have done this but did not think to check the expiration dates and every one I bought was expired. Most of what they put on sale at my store are already expired but I didn’t realize this until I got checked the bottles. Stinks because they are all half off.
I’ve been using Skin Aqua from Japan exclusively, I get the big pump bottles, and I have so much anxiety bc it feels like I’m not wearing any sunscreen at all, and I feel like I’m being irresponsible by not being covered in greasy plastic coating of American sunscreen. It will take some getting used to to not feel “naked” outdoors
15:06 Oh how I know and despise humidity! I live in London, UK, not known for its high temperature but, believe me, it can get so humid and stuffy here 🥵.
It's so icky!
I’ve had such a hard time finding the Nivea refills recently. It’s my favorite everyday going to work sunscreen. My desk is next to a window so one side of my body is always exposed to sun. I’m going to give the Kose a try.
Check out Dokodemo for refills, it will take some time in shipping but the price can't be beat!
^Please test out the new- Aestura Derma UV365 Barrier Hydro Mineral Sunscreen. For a dry skin person it looks so promising but I know most mineral SPF’s may be dry
Hello! Does the neutrogena or coppertone burn the eyes? Thinking to use them on my kids during beach time.
Thank you, Kelly, for your videos.
If I were to add peptides to my routine, which one would you recommend that I can pair with tretinoin.
Also, are growth factors peptides safe?
Thanks.
Not sure what kind of results you're looking for but a peptide mix might be good, the ordinary multipeptide serum would be a good start (formerly buffer serum)
I’ve been using black girl sunscreen for kids SPF 50 on my daughter. It’s water resistant and very light and easy to spread/absorb into skin for $9.99. For myself when swimming, I’ve been using La roche posay Anthelios SPF 100. It’s definitely not $10 so I might try the Neutrogena one next summer and see how it holds up
I like both of those SPF's! The SPF100 is kinda pricey and thick but it's still a great one, and Black Girl kids just narrowly missed this video!
Thank you, Kelly, for discussing sunscreens for actually swimming! I'm a lap swimmer, and despite slathering on sunscreen I do get some color - but no burn. I am in the pool for an hour. I try to swim when it gets a bit shady, but that's not always possible. Currently using the Hawaiian Tropic sheer touch SPF 70 which was on sale BOGO about a month ago. What do you like for your face when you swim? I wear goggles, and mineral sunscreen goops the silicone rims. I cannot use anything with avobenzene which stings my eyes. Using EVY now, but it is expensive!
I use Avene Very High Protection Sunscreen, it's a European exclusive so not super cheap but it has the new generation chemical filters and like the name suggests very high protection. They have a sports version too which I'm keen to try. I've found a good range of the Avene products on Korean site Kooding with fair prices.
@@KellyDriscoll Thank you!
I try not to expose my body to the sun too much and therefore I don't have a body spf staple yet (which is why I'm finding this video very helpful). However, atm when I can't avoid exposing my arms and decolletage I'm using the Abib sun stick. Or the Eucerin spf 50 anti-hyperpigmentation which is meant for the face actually, but I don't want it to go to waste, so I've repurposed it 😊 .
I've heard good things about that Eucerin SPF! Always good to use what you have on hand!
I've been using an Aveeno one SPF 60 with a pump. It's definitely a little greasy and has a small fragrance. But I was really wanting SPF100 (fragrance free) due to where I live.
I tried the Neutrogena SPF 100+ and it got all over everything. Such a mess!
I've tried Coppertone SPF 100 and it's so thick and greasy. Perfect for swimming though!
Thinking about trying the Banana Boat Kids Max Protect & Play SPF 100 because it doesn't have fragrance. It's definitely a journey.
There is a La Roche-Posay 100 SPF that's fragrance free, it's greasy though, that's the downside of the higher % filters!
@@KellyDriscoll I've tried this one and didn't mind the feeling. It didn't seem too thick like the Banana Boat or the Coppertone ones. But they're also a fraction of the cost. The biggest issue was how it stung my eyes. I think I might just apply it to the face and then apply the BOJ of SKIN1004 around my eyes. And ofc sunglasses.
I also remembered one I did enjoy last year and that was Bare Republic SPF 100. You could give that a try too and see if you like the consistency. But there's also fragrance. I think it's a company thing - where they try to cover up the natural scent of the sunscreen without realizing that their harshing our vibes. lol
Have you tried any of these on your face? Im trying to use body sunscreens on my face so that they’ll last me forever, may I know if you recommend any of these for the face, kelly?
You can try any of them on the face, especially the Nivea and Suncut ones! Coppertone would probably work, Neutrogena might feel really heavy. You can absolutely use any on your face though, those are just my thoughts on how it will feel.
Is it just me or does anyone else run through body sunscreens like crazy…I feel like I’m finishing 140g bottles in like 2-3 weeks
Banana Boat Light as Air has my entire family in a chokehold. It’s unbelievably light, no alcohol, water resistant and $9.99 for 6oz (177ml). Rubs in easier than any sunscreen I’ve ever tried. Love Neutrogena Bech Defense for beach days too!
Can banana boat be used on d face?? Will it be oily??
@@Lily_-iz4py I’m sure it can be used on the face but I haven’t tried it. I would guess it won’t be oily based on how it feels on my body but I can’t say for sure
Where do you find it so cheap? Amazon has been selling it for $14-$15 all summer so far.
@@Joannabanana1989 Target
@@Joannabanana1989that’s the price I see on Target although it’s often sold out
Finishing up Bondi Sands SPF 30. Definitely NOT sweatproof!
Or waterproof! It comes off really fast and leaves white streaks all over my body if I happen to be out in the rain or swimming. Definitely super disappointing.
@@Joannabanana1989 it isn't advertised as sweat or waterproof, so you cant expect it to be. It's pretty good for casual use if it isn't too hot.
@neen42 ahh I have the one that is supposed to be so that makes it even worse haha it’s the spf 50 one
@@Joannabanana1989 oh, i just have the regular one.
The nivea is a 140g pump bottle, its refill pouch is 125g. Please get your facts accurate.
Prime Day LOL I just got the Numbuzin #1 I’m hoping it’s invisible like I heard lol I’m having to use my Skinaqua and Kose suncut on my body bc of the alcohol it burns my face 🙁 still love HARUHARU WONDER my #1 holy grail!!!! It the best finish satiny silky smooth no pilling but it’s not too good for sweat or water lol so still searching for that 🤍🤍🤍☀️☀️☀️
The alcohol is strong in kose suncut!😅
