In 2007 there was a flame at the bottom of the screen that would get bigger and bigger until you broke a combo and it is really distracting and all you had to do to select a beatmap was holding your cursor there for 2 seconds
In osu 2018 in mania once you hit 100 combo a girl would show up
and other game modes but i play mania all the time

Osu! 2007 was definitely a productive of it’s time
Its funny how osu! 2007 and osu! 2018 have so many things and styles in common, but then Lazer comes and does everything new (which I like, I kinda get tired from the current design after a while)
Zurah osu!lazer is a completely redevelopment of osu! from scratch I think, that's probably why it looks so new

Lazer's taiko skin spoiled me since it has separate overlays for don/kat. Now every time I play stable I find taiko harder to read.

if ur talking about in the 2007 game its because the mouse is laggy and appears to have smoothing when u play it, i downloaded the 2007 game and i couldnt hit shit because the mouse floats all over the place

It looks super pretty at default, and it looks like it's going to give a lot more effect options for skins and things, but man, it plays badly. As in, I'd rather be playing with a trackpad badly.

Pretty sure Lazer will run at 4 FPS on my laptop (AKA Potatoe) during gameplay, now i will miss my solid 60 FPS on osu...
Acually there were way more versions than just 3 such as the 2008 adding the accuracy on the corner and 2009 adding widescreen resolutions

I think Lazer could be a really good improvement. The main reason I play osu! is because I have a really shitty pc, and i've tried out Lazer already and... you know... it doesn't run so smooth like the standard 2018 version.
I'd like to see a version where you can navigate through the menu with your keyboard while using a draw pad.

Peppy wanted to make a client where you can do EVERYTHING in game so you don’t have to go on the website anymore for looking at the leaderboards, downloading Beatmaps etc.
Also osu!lazer is opensource and because it uses the .NET Framework everyone can create their own gamemodes for osu!lazer.
Its just osu completely redeveloped from scratch, the code is also more clean and its better optimized has better graphics and allows much more customization, for example animated skins. The map editor will also be better and the multiplayer will also be way more comprehensive and also more competitive (tournaments, 1v1 etc).
There's no reasons, just use it ._.

The big difference between osu and lazer is not only the design. Lazer is way more comprehensive and will have many more features, people can even create their own gamemodes with the .Net framework.

I like the 2018 osu! better, it has more energy with a big button just waiting for you to get in and play. Whereas Lazer is cleaner it just doesn't give me that enthusiasm for the game. And the 2007 osu! is where it began so I like it for that. :)
