Loader Bucket Repair

  • I bough this tractor and loader used in 2020 the bucket had already been welded and we don't really use it that much so it wasn't a concern until now. we are spreading a lot of lime and we are using the 8120 for that because the bucket on the 6210r is broken a little bit. we don't like the loader on the 8120 that much. so it is raining all the time and we have the time to fix it and get it into reliable service.

    Wesley go into your brightness settings and see where you have the scroll bar set to, I’ve mine set to just around 1/4 - 1/3 mark, appearance on Dark and True Tone off. If you’re battery drains quick that can be a sign of it automatically adjusting the brightness itself. The new camera setup is looking awesome.

    The welding helmet is triggered by sudden differences in light. Could be caused by by waving your hand over the sensors bright shop lights and leds will also trigger it

    Good looking fix with that chunk of plate above the lug, , I maybe would have even drilled a few 7/16 holes and plug welded them full.

    I've been watching your channel from 2009. Its nice to see the repair video's. After coming home from working on the farm sad as it sounds, i switch CZcams on. And I look forward to your videos. I had the same problem on our big bucket. I'll take a picture of it and see what you think. Its rusted now but still holding strong 💪. I tend to weld worn out dowdeswell plough points on the eges of the blade as the eges of the blade seem to wear quicker and they're the right shape. I don't know if its right but i like
    making use out of the blade and mainly to keep the edge square. Also mainly cause they're hardened steel 🤠

    My compact tractor had a problem like yours welded a new plate inside cross the back to weld the bucket brackets back on.Its a homeowner bucket not a contractor bucket.Also put on a reversible bolt on cutting edge when the welded edge wore out.....Your bucket looks more like a snow bucket.

    Was wondering if you still use the quick hitch on your hay wagons, haven’t seen one in your videos in years. A few weeks ago Dirtmonkey posted a short from a trade show with the inventor and reminded me of your video from the past. Thought it was nice to see the inventor made it thru the pandemic and was curious if you still use them or did you find a problem with them.

    • @onelonleyfarmer
      @onelonleyfarmer  Před 3 měsíci

      @@sidelinerbeekeeper I didn’t ask if it would work or not I asked what you feel I did wrong. Because this is the only way to fix this. A fishplate is technically what I did. Welding a gusset would not work on a bucket. I get what your saying but it would be more problematic than beneficial.

    • @sidelinerbeekeeper
      @sidelinerbeekeeper Před 3 měsíci

      @onelonleyfarmer welding a gusset or essential turning it into a T beam is stronger than just a flat plate. Yes, the vertical flat bar would not be as pretty as your fish plate. I know you know what I mean, a 2x8 is stronger on its edge than laying flat, same for steel.
