    Thanks for the video. I just swapped the fender on my 2017 Fat Bob. Your video and a lot of additional research made the project very smooth. Start to finish on a Saturday morning. Just ordered the 2010/11 FXDWG stock sissy bar to complete the look.

    Looks so much better than the stock fender. The stock fender is maybe the main thing that's keeping me from buying this bike. I wish they came stock with that bobbed fender, since I don't have a work space or the mechanical skills to do such a modification myself :)

    Question 🙋‍♂️ do you have any wobble at all on your bike? Once I get to 4th gear or 70 miles an hour it’s a wobble. Not a shimmy or weave or vibration.

    Is that particular fender the only H-D fender that will fit outside of the stock Fat Bob fender?

    Great job on the fender mod and video production. I just picked up a 2013 Fat Bob and want to order the parts from your list. Did you just use your local HD dealer? Can you provide the source for the parts list? There’s another guy on CZcams that’s selling a complete unpainted bolt on kit for $975 with plug and play light kit. Would you have considered this option if you could do it all over again? His light kit has an integrated light bar that has signal flashers in the same unit. Thanks for your input and great video(s). Subscriber for life. Ride on!

    • @thatoneguymoto
      @thatoneguymoto  Před 6 lety +2

      You can definitely use your local H-D dealer, with the part #'s I provided. I used Surdyke Harley (now Gold Star Harley), because they have a discount for all their parts online.
      In hindsight, I don't think I would have done much differently. I really wanted to do it all myself, not because I don't trust anyone else, but it was a way to really get to know my motorcycle, and I'm one of those people who enjoy the sense of satisfaction after finishing something like this.

    Hey loved the video.. ...i'm about to do this mod.. just waiting for inner strut brackets..I talked to another guy that did this mod and he's not getting a open switch light on his bike... did you ever figure out what's causing that? He is also using the daytime running lights on his.. one more question did you use your factory turn signal in the rear? I heard the little extenders are bigger than the wideglide so you have to replace them too

    • @thatoneguymoto
      @thatoneguymoto  Před 5 lety

      It was the harness under the seat. It had to be swapped out. The H-D part # on the work order was 70025-11. I used the factory turn signals, but the stand-offs were slightly larger, and never quite fit correctly, but I made them work. Good luck, and let me know how it goes! :D

    • @mikgto68
      @mikgto68 Před 5 lety

      @@thatoneguymoto ....you used the chopped fender brake light? Sounds like you might need a load resistor ... hannums told me there was no harness for that application and I was better off using the board on the fatbob and just extending the wires...

    • @thatoneguymoto
      @thatoneguymoto  Před 5 lety

      The fender brake light is the H-D LED Edge light kit listed in the description. If you can get everything to work and not have the indicator come on, that would be ideal. I tried the load resistor, but I couldn't get anything to work. I'll just say, if you know what you need to do, go for it and see if it works. Looking forward to hearing how it goes! :D
