Finally a video where I feel like someone is genuinely trying to teach me the basics. This is awesome I appreciate you taking the time to do this
i'M A BIT SLOW BUT VERY HAPPY WITH MY PROGRESS, GREAT TEACHER
Self taught myself piano lessons, and I am so grateful to find your channel. Been doing a lot of research on CZcams, but having you teaching how to read music sheets is the next level of online teaching.
Thank you so much for your love and efforts to put out these lessons. ❤
I just purchased a digital piano tonight. I can't wait to get started. I've always wanted to play piano but have always been intimidated by my three son's. They were classically trained and my eldest was quite exceptional. Now at 73 it is my turn. Also, they are on their own now so they will find out when I get farther along. Thanks for this program. At some point I'm sure I'll sign up for your monthly course. Starting free is great. Thank you.
Your piano course is so helpful. I am really so glad that I bumped into this. This is the best piano course I’ve come across with for beginners like me.
Hearing this made my day, thank you! I’m so glad it’s been helpful for you. ❤️🎹
@@PianoRoadmap That's true, you're an excellent piano teacher. I love your lesson 1 and 2, now I'll do the others. I took a few lessons with some teachers but you are the best compared to them.
This is invaluable. I've only been playing for two weeks, and after only 20 minutes I was playing amazing grace at 100 bpm! You are a great teacher. Thank you!
🥳🎉
I learned up to grade 8 as a child... then stopped playing for about 25 years. But you're right, even though I technically know most of this stuff, there's lots I'm finding useful by going back to the beginning. Very useful, meditative exercises.
You're a great teacher! 👍🏻🥰
Good Advice
Practicing your rhythm exercises at 4:40.
Your lesson is so well organized in chapters, that there is only one thing left to mention: that😺at 2:24
😹😹😹
I thought I had a full set keyboard lol it was a 32 key keyboard not realizing the real piano is an 88 hahaha I continue the lessons for as long as I can before all 88 keys are used
Too bad! You should be able to finish most of the free piano course here with 32 keys.
Same.
@@PianoRoadmap I did but saving up for a full keyboard
Cool Dance Moves Cats

Happy to help!
Thank you, thank you! I've neen struggling to get my head around playing on tempo and keeping count but something about how you explained it clicked! I'm not playing a GOOD rendition of Amazing Grace but at least its now recognisable as Amazing Grace. It's a start!
I didn't understand the amazing grace what we have to do in that it's so confusing
Can anyone explain this please
Check the step-by-step guide here:
8:34 Amazing Grace
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your support!
Omg I just came across
your clases you are the best !!
Glad you like them!
I'm really grateful for the assignments, it has given me the structure I have been lacking in my practice, and is jogging my memory of old lost habits from school. Thank you so much!
You're welcome! Glad you like the structure 😃
Just bought a 88 key piano because I’ve been wanting to learn and you make it very easy to follow along and get me into it. Thank you.
Good luck!
Thank you
You're welcome!
The best piano lessons ever just started my journey with it thnk u soo much for the lessons in a structured way. It's a paradigm for beginners like me. Love from India 🇮🇳🇮🇳❤❤
This makes me so happy to hear! Good luck on your new piano endeavors!
I Really like your lessons! They are challenging and fun at the same time...also helping me to start realizing what's behind the music, I'm usted to hear everyday. I do have a question: you mentioned that the top Number on a 4/4 is related to the beat, so...What does the number of the bottom makes reference to?
Great question! The bottom number tells us that the quarter note gets 1 beat. In other time signatures that we'll get to later, like 6/8 time, the quarter note will get TWO beats. It's a little confusing at first, but the bottom number is basically giving the WHOLE value. So in 4/4 time, the whole note value is 4. So by doing a little math, we can see that the HALF note will get 2 (half of 4), and the QUARTER note will get 1 (a quarter of 4). In 6/8 time, the WHOLE value is 8. So a half note gets 4 beats and a quarter gets 2. Hope this helps, and thanks for your question!
This one is going to take me at least 2 weeks.

YW!
Thank you so much for helping but I would like to ask you a request for the amazing Grace song, could you please make it with finger numbers instead of letters because I am bad at knowing where the letters are?
Hi there….where can I download the music sheet….I have not been able to get that both in lesson 1 and 2. Thank you so much….I do like the way you teach.
The links are in the description (you have to click "show more" to see it) but here is the link for lesson 2: drive.google.com/drive/folders/16oQ9qvtmGXgVUKyr4FnuEu3GJGoQM_N5?usp=sharing
What piano brand do you use in this video? Looks like it has very interesting name.
This was a "pandemic shutdown, I just need something for our temporary house brand" 😆 I'm honestly not sure, and I donated it to our neighbors when we moved. All I know is that it's a Russian piano maker with only 83 keys, rather than the full 88.
@@PianoRoadmap I know you can do magic even on less than the full 88 keys .
How do we know which hand to use for the assignment tune? You seem to use both hands.
If you download the assignment worksheet (link in description) and look on page 3, I have a picture of the hand position. This tells you what notes should be played with each hand.
Lesson 2, p.3 Amazing Grace: RH notes with stem going up, and LH notes with stem going down.
How do I clock on link below
Where do I reimburse
Nd the link?
Can you learn a keyboard with these lessons aur we do we have to get a real piano ? 🥺 My keyboard has five octaves is it okay ?
It's ok to start with that!
I cant find the sheet music in the description below. Sorry 😢 but help 😅
You have to click "more" for the description box to expand and show you the description 😃 But here is the link: drive.google.com/drive/u/1/folders/16oQ9qvtmGXgVUKyr4FnuEu3GJGoQM_N5
Can I use a keyboard for this classes?
Absolutely!
I wish I could hire you… you are who I e been looking for. I have hired teachers, they can play exceptionally well, however, maybe not the best teachers. I hope you’re still teaching.
I'm working hard on the Faber Follow-Along piano course, so nope, currently not teaching privately. Good luck finding a great teacher! They're definitely out there, but it can take a little searching.
My key board has 62
i have teh same thing I'm 66 and brother play Mom Played and I can't
