Those are some extremely nice upgrades to that block.
Two detail items I’d like to know more about. How much lobe lift does that block allow before the oil pressure band comes out of the block?
I know there are some lifters with work arounds for this. Just cost associated like in most cases.
The other item is cylinder distortion under torque plate honing conditions .
Those blind head bolt holes are a plus no doubt and I know that those head bolt holes were CNC machined and much more accurately located than the factory based engines are.
When decking these style blocks the head bolt threads being flush with the deck makes it necessary to champher the bolt holes. For this reason it would be very nice if those head bolt holes had a counter bore depth before the threads began.
I’m sure it could be done and still accommodate a common length ARP stud.
Just think that it would improve overall quality and even help the manufacturing process.
Couldn’t add more than a minute to the cycle times.
Over all those are major nice upgrades.
    A 4 1/4” bore ?

@@theinvisibleman2709 a good engine man should be degreeing a cam irrespective of what or where the parts come from, how do you know they’ve been manufactured correctly, I suppose that’s what separates the good engine builder from these guys

Why are you not telling us things like compression ratio, cam lift, intake runner flow, valve size, carb size, header primary tube size, or total timing. If you're gonna tell us about an engine, then tell us about the engine in detail... Don't leave us with mystery on parts...

Why the hell would you build a "480hp" stroker ? Some one explain. I'm rebuilding a 5.7 vortec and it should be in the mid 400 range for about 3g. Don't give me reliability Bull shit either,

So a guy walks into a bar and says he built a 480 hp 383 Chevy motor. And the first thing out of his mouth is how he used a special hd block of his own design. Typical Chevy story about something that's not what they built and the Chev fan boys get all tweeked out if they get called out on it. It's NOT a Chev and is built from all aftermarket parts because the Chev stuff ends up making vent holes in the Chev block.

You must have vibrator or Mayflower in your blood Chevy blocks don't vent

He states its a aftermarket block with modifications. So what is the problem? Sounds like wanting to just stirr the pot to get reactions. Typical

Youre jealous that in the 70s-90s people were walking fords, dodges etc cause this was a bad ass engine of its time? Or trying to compare 1950s technology to something like a Coyote that was literally designed and built in the last 20 years? 😂😂😂 you make no sense.
