  • The March Brown dun is a clasic Catskill fly pattern that is tied to match the hatch the important mayfly hatch that takes place in mid May. Although an important hatch for Spring, this hatch tends to be more spread out over time rather then an all at once hatch like other mayflies like the Hendricksons or sulfers. Because of this, this pattern is a great search pattern with willing trout throughout the afternoon. Size 10 2x dry fly hook, cream superfine dubbing, cock de leon tail, Wood duck for the wings, tan uni 6/0 thread.
