  • It's my first time attending the largest Lego show in the UK - and I'm exhibiting my Raccoon guy tapestry with the BrickAlley Lego User Group.
    It took a goo d4 hours to get around all of the displays and here is part 1 of 2 of the show.

    😲 Absolutely amazing! Your video did a great job sharing the show with us. The imagination, creativity and detail in the models is jaw dropping! Would hate to have to transport any of them. Looking forward to part two 😊

    Wow, an amazing show! Thank you so much for sharing with great camera work and commentary! The dragon we got a glimpse of at the end looks really interesting.

      The GBC was so busy by the time I got to it, so I didn’t capture it as well as I wanted 😐 but the basketball guys were one of the more popular modules for sure!

    Re: Billingate, we got plenty of visitors, but you seem to be about the only person videoing who captured us!

    Just to help you out with the disney parade;
    Robin hood rather than fox and the hound after walle.
    Hurcules then Cinderella after pirates of the Caribbean.
    Ariel the little mermaid (when she's human) the Alice in wonderland after Pinocchio.
    I noticed on one build there was some pumpkins and got me thinking are you going to have a polytunnel/veggie growing area in lego zoo like you do in real zoo?
    I love the highland cow at the end! I think lego need to bring out a set to build a horse!
    Did anyone notice your hoodie?

      I totally failed the Disney parade 🫣
      Lots of Lego builders noticed it and a few visitors surprisingly enough! 🎉

    Wow. Would your aim be to exhibit your zoo at the show eventually? Great videoing and nurating by the way. ☺

      Parts of it I hope, it’ll be too big to transport too far I think… but never say never! 😊

    Thanks for sharing that with us. Its got me excited to go to Brick-Can here in April. I love looking at the creations as a work of art but also getting a chance to find cool parts usage and techniques to inspire my building. Interesting observation on the big builds UK to North America. Household floor space certainly must factor into that. The crowd there doesn't look very thick. Did you go at a quieter time or is it perhaps that the station has a lot of room to accommodate? Our con is shoulder to shoulder on public days and you have a 2 hour time window to be there. It makes it hard to get a really good all angles look at a lot of the stuff or take the time to get good pictures. Definitely considering spending the extra money and going as an AFOL during the weekdays when its being set up.

      Bricktastic organiser here :-) This looks like 9am onwards. So there is only 20% of the overall capacity in for the first hour. It really helps people with additional needs adjust to the space. Lighting is also at a lower level and no announcements over the PA system :-)

      @@kevingascoigne4676 As the father of an easily overloaded autistic child that loves Lego I appreciate that you have those times for fans with sensitivities.

    • @kevingascoigne4676
      @kevingascoigne4676 Před 5 měsíci

      It does work. And then at 10am another 20% of capacity fills up. So because it doesn't go from 0 - 100 immediately, the feedback is that families with additional needs are able to stay longer than anticipated. The event was sold out prior to opening. The space would accommodate more BUT we want 5000 people per day having an incredible time, not 6000 having an average one :-)

      Wow you only get a 2-hour window? That’s mad! I booked the earliest timeslot for the show and tried to film everything early on but you’ll see its a lot busier in part 2. I spent 4 hours there and we didn’t have a time limit. Brick-Can sounds good and joining as an AFOL is a great idea. I plan on exhibiting at Shildon this year hopefully and it would be cool to do Bricktastic so that I can film the day before in peace! Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻

    As a rule, we dont collaborate as well as other countries for bigger model's! But we are working on it 😂

    • @ZooBricks
      @ZooBricks  Před 5 měsíci

      That’s a fair point.. I was just thinking about individual builders rather than collabs. Either would be cool to see more of in the UK!
