The war of 1812 was partially because we were stopping their slave ships.
The Council of London officially banned the act of selling another human being in 1102
They did not spread the act of slavery at all.
If you are taught this, you are wrong.
There were English owners of plantations in the Americas who transported slaves for the cotton and sugar trades while it was legal, but the British did not spread slavery. That has existed long before the UK started.
The Muslims spread slavery throughout India, as, like England, the Indians did not use slavery before Muslims came.
According to the 2018 Global Slavery Index, 40.3 million people were enslaved worldwide in 2016. India accounts for almost 8 million or 20%, making it the largest absolute contributor to modern slavery. You cannot blame the British for this.

India has seen worst days then even UKRAINE is in today ... 1971 war Russia's extra ordinary help in - Pakistan War 1971 ... Pakistan was supported by SEATO / CENTO (NATO + Iran + Pakistan +Turkey +UK was a pact from 1955 to 1979, we destroyed it only with the help of Russia). SEATO / CENTO sent the entire 7th fleet with aircraft carrier and the Bristish Came with their air carrier, destroyers and submarine. Further on tactical support from USA military hardware military hardware and weapons sytems were sent from Jordan, Iran,Turkey and France. On behest of the USA, the UAE also sent half asquadron of fighter aircrafts to attack India. Indonesians dispatched its naval vessels to fight against India and the Chinese tried to blockade our warships. India was up against the combined might of the SEATO / CENTO, US, UK and China.
It was only the entry of Russians in support of India that this multi pronged attack could be thwarted in 1971. India came out victorius the 1971 war leading to the biggest surrender of more then 93,000/- (ninety three thousand) armed personal of Pakistan (which included personel from CENTO, US, UK, Middle east who were fighting wearing uniform of Pakistan army)
The Russians helped by sending a complete flotilla of destroyers, frigates,submarines etc from Vladivostok and on there way to India they actually fired missiles at the CENTO fleet from a distance of about 300kms and threatened to even launch nuclear missiles. The Russians therefore, pre-empted CENTO / US / UK joint forces and strangly Pakistan was abandoned. The British ships retreated towards Madagascar and the US 7th fleet halted its advance towards India and retuned back. The Chinese did not intervene at all from fear of a nuclear strike.
Russia vetoed all US / UK / CENTO sponsored motions in the security council and even treatened to go nuclear if they attacked India. Further the Russians flotilla remained in India till Pakistan army surrendered. Only after surrender, did Russian navy leave India but while leaving they gave on lease 1 nuclear submarine to India which acted as a deterrent till they helped us build our army and navy.
The Russian help given to India in 1971 is unparrelled in world history. No super power has ever given such unlimited help free of cost neither before nor after that date to any country ... We can never ever trust NATO or its natural allies

I'm an Indian. I love my country and our soldiers. But comparing ourselves to UK is useless. It's a very small country with a much much smaller population. Of course we will overtake UK in defense. It's logical. I hope our strength only grows in the defense sector.
Because we need to be at least dwarf UK by at least 25 times to think ourselves stronger considering their population is only 4 percent of what India's is. It's not favorable statistics to India in terms of military equipment at all if you take that into account. I love India and am proud of it. But i also like to stay in reality. And UK would never fight anyone alone. India, however, does not have good neighbours.

British military will be very weak by 2031.
Indian Army's 1 out of 8 Northern Command fury & firepower is bigger than entire British army & piddly firepower.
