Rusty Antique Coffee Grinder Machine - Restoration
In this video I restore a Antique coffee grinder machine. I bought this coffee grinder machine from flea market. I set out to restore this machine and started restoring it.
Restoration Overview !
I started the coffee grinder restoration work by disassembling all the parts of this machine. Some parts of this machine I left in vinegar. After this the paint was removed from the painted parts of the machine and all its casting marks were removed. The inner side of the machine is hot bluing and the outer side is puttyed and painted. After that, the grinding plates and some other parts of the machine were hot bluing. After restoring all the parts of the coffee grinder I assembled the machine.

Hot bluing is done on the inside of the coffee machine and not on the outside.

I don't think it was for coffee grinding but probably for something like a grain or corn where you want more of a 'grit' or 'meal'.

why don't you sandblast it right away and I would strongly advise against using gloves with a rotary wire brush
