Why don't you have the plaster level with the front of the flask? Why are you using a lower flask for an upper? Plaster is good for the base but a half plaster and half stone is recommended for the top as it is harder. Even though you never filled the base all the way, used the wrong flask and the wrong mix for the top,the rest was great!
