TUF 29: pretty good coaches in Volkanovski and Ortega, Bantamweight and Middleweight were solid weight classes, all of the fighters had solid records, Andrei Petroski who didn't even win the show is doing incredible so far in the UFC, and most importantly guys like Bryan Battle were putting on high-level skilled fights, and Ricky Turcios was putting on banger after banger. Solid Season Overall
TUF 30: Horrible coaches, the least skilled divisions in MMA, fighters with horrible records, low level, and boring fights, and these fighters have zero future in the UFC. What the hell was the UFC thinking!
I'm one of the few who actually really enjoyed TUF 29. Only reason why I paid for UFC's fight pass. But won't even bother watching this season.

I'd still be optimistic about the future of heavyweight, you just won't find it in TUF. even if someone wins they're likely still non-ufc caliber cans.
Seriously, TUF now should be looking for prospects in get into the UFC. Be it to insert new talent into a division, finding a prospect who could threaten a dominant champion, or filling out a new division. The UFC needs to introduce an Atomweight division for the ladies. TUF would be a great way to introduce the new weight-class. Tony vs Khabib as TUF coaches needs to happen, the rivalry needs closure one way or another.

I think its pretty obvious why they use the dead family members in the storyline and its to add, sadly, artificial drama to an incredibly boring show. I really dont have an issue with people talking about that stuff if it feels genuine but it absolutely doesn't in the show.

The 42 year old just shows how much decay the show is in. I'm honestly thinking none of them would beat any current HW. No KO chance as they are too scared but no cardio past the first half of the first round. All the other guy needs to do is run around for 3 rounds and they will die of a heart attack. Easy dub.
I like the idea of a HW TUF bring some more life into the division, but damn end this misery.
Agreed 2x Contendor series with maybe some background promos on their life that's it. All we need, it's cringe, zero prospects and no good coaches.
MMA has a international pipeline of prospects.
They got lazy and just filled spots with what's easy.
Go back to the international format if your struggling.

That’s what happens when the pay isn’t worth it. Athletes who are considering putting some work into MMA will look at all the fighters on 10/10 contracts getting beaten up and don’t bother any further.
TUF is basically a show of journeyman where will the winner will probably get cut.

Last season of tuf really had me thinking that it was getting back to being good seasons. Ortega and Volk were great, some good prospects who got far in the comp and great winners, especially Ricky. Then they announced Pena and Nunes...

You guru and everyone else are delusional. Some of the girls are pretty good. I saw chantel fight live and she was actually pretty good compared to an average Joe. Yeah the guys suck compared to ufc guys but they would toy with you no problem

There's some HWs coming up that I'm quite hyped for: Buchecha and Malykhin at ONE, Renan Ferreira at PFL, Kirill Kornilov is a good Kickboxer and he's doing well at MMA, and there's also Steve Mowry at Bellator. I think those guys will do great in the future, despite being prospects, they're still way too good to go to TUF. Good fighters won't go to TUF, they'll always end up on the Contender Series.
Jailton Almeida is fighting at HW and he's a elite grappler, not just elite for hw standards but mma in general, I think he'd grapple fuck a lot of the top guys aside from ngannou, blaydes, stipe etc but with refinements can be champ at LHW or Hw
I didn't include him because he fights at LHW as well, even though he doesn't have a problem switching categories, the UFC will want him to choose one division. And the path for him to be a champion at LHW is much easier. HW isn't that good overall, but the top contenders are actually good fighters and more well rounded than most LHW. He''d only struggle with Ankalaev at LHW, but I still think he could apply his game on him. Ankalaev is more of a counter boxer than a wrestler anyways.
Even Odie Delaney with ONE would've been better, he's basically an Australian slightly lesser version of Buchecha.

Past 5-4 days? There's active fighters with very similar records like Holly who are somehow in title talks. (I'm with you on the nose thing. First unpadded hard spar and had my nose broken by accident.)
Holly is 14-5 and 4 of her losses are to former champs.
