    I just bought a 1 Terabyte , took it apart, and installed it to my PC as additional storage.

    You did a good job removing all that sticky heat transfer pad junk of the memory chips

    Would putting this drive in a Thunderbolt 4 enclosure get better speed out of it? Right now, on TB4/USB4 ports on M1 Macs, it only gets about 800MB/S vs the 2000+MB/s it advertises as .

      @@misterbondjoy Just popped mine open. It's a Sandisk 2TB, aka WD SN750. BUT, the drive wouldn't work correctly in a ACASIS thunderbolt enclosure I have. Was getting speeds closer to an old spinning drive. Put it back in the enclosure and it's getting normal speeds again. Wouldn't recommend buying this to shuck.

    My Sandisk Extreme is no longer getting power do you have any recommendations as it's only about 5.5 months old?

      blow the usb c port out with compressed air. Dust can kill the connection.

    What tools did you use to pry the drive off the USB board? Seems to be superglued on.

      Any plastic tools, but before hit up make work easier
