Scraping off the white stuff was satisfying to watch
😎
I just bought a 1 Terabyte , took it apart, and installed it to my PC as additional storage.
Yes this one option
It will work with slow speed
You did a good job removing all that sticky heat transfer pad junk of the memory chips
Thank you :)
Would putting this drive in a Thunderbolt 4 enclosure get better speed out of it? Right now, on TB4/USB4 ports on M1 Macs, it only gets about 800MB/S vs the 2000+MB/s it advertises as .
I dont tested, please let us know
I have one of these. Didn’t realise that the storage device could be removed.
Yes its removable SSD inside :)
@@jabbatellyou what type of SSD inside it?
@@misterbondjoy I not remember now 2T nvme
@@misterbondjoy Just popped mine open. It's a Sandisk 2TB, aka WD SN750. BUT, the drive wouldn't work correctly in a ACASIS thunderbolt enclosure I have. Was getting speeds closer to an old spinning drive. Put it back in the enclosure and it's getting normal speeds again. Wouldn't recommend buying this to shuck.
My Sandisk Extreme is no longer getting power do you have any recommendations as it's only about 5.5 months old?
Send Back to Sandisk
blow the usb c port out with compressed air. Dust can kill the connection.
can you upload the picture of the internal ssd? thank you so much
Hi I don’t keep this SSD any more so only you can see on this video
Is it possible to upgrade the portal SSD
I not try but I think yes
Is this the extreme Pro V1 (1050mbps) or V2 (2000mbps)
It’s V2
What tools did you use to pry the drive off the USB board? Seems to be superglued on.
Any plastic tools, but before hit up make work easier
wht nvme ssd inside this sandisk extreme pro portable ssd? how bout this portable ssd tbw? is it dram cache support?
I don’t know ask Sandisk
@@jabbatellyou posts a CZcams video then tells you to ask someone else for the information 😂
@@dondrechsel7384 yes producer, I not make this ... so ...
@@jabbatellyou I did call and ask and they wouldn't tell me... "proprietary information"
so not reaching the top speed for the nvme drive.
not from USB 3.0 ... but still very fast, highly recommend
I wonder what gen is that m.2 drive?
Yes M2 drive NvMe
Gen 3
80mm?
Yea I this so
Thermal design is very questionable...
editing could use some work ...
It's pathetic it's a whole PCB not an interface and an ability to exchange drives...
Yah
complain for device designer :)))😎
