its also worth noting that Francois did a mix of Tour De France in 83 and they still use elements of his mix today. He also helped a lot with production of the "Techno Pop" album in 86

@@TheKraftwerkDatabase And Francois, like Shep Pettibone (Level 42 Lessons In Love or DM Behind the Wheel) and Trevor Horn (Grace Jones - Slave to the Rhythm mixes and his work on Yes 90125) has this extremely refined ability to "spread" the voicing of his mixes so they feel like they've got space between them and the rest, in a three dimensional fashion, on top of the clever use of stereo panning between voices and instruments... it's clean and crisp, deep and rich and big all at the same time. Analog synths help, so does a few decades of studio experience and live music mixing chops but it's just also talent that's not given to everyone.

@@gninokcire7449 Why would we think otherwise? This was released on EMI/Elektra, he has previously remixed The Telephone Call with Ron St. Germain, and Tour De France. One is never going to find unathorized remixes on EMI/Elektra, and this remix is, in my estimation along with the OP, the best version of this track, including the many live versions done by Kraftwerk themselves, Orbit's version, and The Mix version. But I love the record in all its iterations. It's a great peice of techno with a message that is temporal as it is timeless. This work by FK really brings the record into line with being presented in a nightclub experience DJ set rather than a live performance, although the live version I saw with the original band lineup was very impactful the security wouldn't let us dance in the auditorium for the duration of the show which was rather frustrating as Kraftwerk really makes you wanna boogie (I think they had no idea and nothing to do with that just Toronto being Toronto). That show had the best sound of any gig I've ever been to, fantastic.
