Loved this video! All of us have remnants of fabric left over. I’ve been making shorts out of mine, but you gave me some good ideas for tops. I love the first two they are gorgeous. Yes I would wear the third top, it’s an original! That’s the fun part about sewing. It may not always turn out how we imagined, but honey I’ve seen some disasters and your third top is not one! Yes please make this a series, I truly enjoyed it! 👗🪡🧵🥰

Thank you so much! 🥰 appreciate your kind words haha. And yes, not everything turns out the way we planned, does it? It’s about embracing the quirks!

Thank you! I never know what to do with leftover fabric. I always end up just doing scrunchies! My favorite was the blouse, the way it fits your figure is so flattering.I really did like the butterfly top, it's very pretty

15:35 onwards is the one thing I cannot seem to find how people do it when the bobbin elastic ran out! 😂 thanks for showing it!

I am very inspired by the cotton top, I already have 2 fabric scraps (one cotton voile, one linen/cotton) that I might try your idea on, thanks 😊. Also, although I don’t need any new jewellery right now my fave every day huggie hoops are from Ana Luisa!

Both of your "successful" tops were very cute. The red and white one especially complimented your figure and gave you a totally snatched waist. When you first started with the red one I thought you were just going to leave the front flat, and that would have made a nice summery top with maybe some adjustment in the length. Couldn't you still do that? Either way you definitely won the "using up your fabric" contest! And by the way your skin is absolute peaches and cream. Totally perfect.

Thank you so much! I definitely see where you’re coming from with the red top - I actually thought about it briefly considering not telling you all what my initial plan was and just keep it as a simple camisole… but I wanted to see what the ruching did to the shape of the pattern! It was a good learning ☺️

An idea for the butterfly one would be designing the front with a vest like shape and using the slash and spread method with a center seam so you would have two pieces. For the back side add regular darts and zipper a zipper or shiring the whole back piece. But the other o es turned out beutifully; I definitely should learn to shir , the result are amazing

With the red top, if you want to try and salvage it as much as possible, take out the front stitches, leave yourself an opening in the lining and take an elastic the length you want the end product to be, and sew while stretching the elastic and the fabric will naturally gather. To finish I would cut the lining of the front to the same size as the finished ruffle bit.
And to answer, the floral one is so so cute and I would 100 percent wear it. ❤

Thank you for the brilliant idea. I have a few visions inspired by your choices!! I prefer the grown on sleeve of your inspiration T-shirt sheered top but the one you ended up with looks fab on you. For the red one I think if you had given more fabric to the middle might have given the ruffling a bit more flexibility. In my experience you use two pieces of bias tape to make the channels on either side to thread with ribbon and pull up. Hth

Thank you! Glad you liked the end-result. Regarding the red top, you're definitely right, I think in hindsight it would have been smarter to 'slash and spread' up the CF.

Loved the peplum t-shirt! Have to admit that I didn't like the sound of the idea when you first mentioned it, but now I may have to try it myself. I think the red one didn't turn out too bad. I wouldn't wear it as it isn't in my style, but I'm sure someone would look lovely in it (you don't look too bad in it yourself!)

Great ideas for small amounts of fabric. And love the zero waste option of the beautiful flowers fabric. Very clever!
On another note, did you get a notification that someone (me) taggad you in a post on instagram? About a jumpsuit/pinafore? Since my account is private, i never know if tagging works. But I know you read the comments on your videos... 😊
