As we can clearly see by the Hornets losing a substantial lead inevitably turning into another LOSS lasnite, these Hornets HAVE NO BENCH!!! @BALLFACTS please review the films you have in preseason when CODY MARTIN (body language says it all) was tryin to intimidate the guys like Gelo and others who came up from the G-league. Cody Martin was tryna be amped up n juiced and even notice his body posture when he sat next to Gelo in the Preseason he was BLOCKING Gelo view had his back to him allowing little viewing of the basketball court...who sits like this on the bench for real 82 games? CODY MARTIN wasnt sitting on the bench like that last night. Here we have an extremely great example of how toxic this Hornets team is internally...instead of GLORIFIED BENCH GUYS LIKE CODY MARTIN trying to make others not feel welcome or part of the team it should be the very opposite. The Bench players should be good Vets you can rely on who take those G-leaguers under their wing and guide them on what to do and help give them a sense of team cohesiveness even if its the preseason. NOW fastforward to REGULAR SEASON we see Cody Martin not looking like he was ready to D-bo the Celtics. Where was all that preseason aggression and energy last night against the EASTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS??? This Hornets team is going nowhere fast! The guys in the Gleague isolate Gelo and they falter, Cody Martin tried his best to make those others not feel welcomed and lasnite as well as season Cody Martins been at best UNIMPRESSIVE! HORNETS have to FIRE MITCH KUBCHIK, TRADE GORDON HAYWARD (HIGHEST PAID HORNET AND HE IS LAUGHABLY THE LEAST PRODUCTIVE), AND THESE BENCH GUYS LIKE CODY MARTIN AND DENNIS SMITH JR NEED TO BE CUT! Gelo would give the Hornets buckets and defense coming off the bench if he had all the chances in the world like the unastounding Cody Martin...we never did get to see Gelo and Melo on the court together either so tally up Gelo on the court with Melo...its buckets and defense all day. I hope Melo and Gelo dont have to spend another season pass this season with the Hornets. Anyone seeing BBB becoming more of reality in Chicago with Lonzo and the Bulls? BULLS would be a great fit for Gelo and Melo's work ethic and in game IQ.

Watching the game, you can tell we was going to lose once Tatum was done sitting it's like he turned on a switch and went in! The team rallied around his energy and never let took their foot off the gas. They outpaced us, it's one of those games when you are winning but still feel like you're going to lose!

Yo! You broke it down so well. Really nice. Melo makes everyone better, imagine what more experience will look like, and just a little more added talent. They should have picked up Boogie Cousins, need more big man presence when Plumlee is resting. When is Bridges coming back, need him back or a forward who is a bruiser. They have that journeyman who is injured, Dennis Smith Jr; he is a force out there also, want to see him with Melo more. He has an eye for the game. All Melo needs is one player who understands what they are trying to do, he has no "wingman". He needs one!! Who will step up and be that guy on this team? They are playing "ok" but they still need more chemistry. They act like a well behaved group, instead of a team, that will come in time I assume and more experience.
Plus they act like they are not watching how defensive players on opposing teams are going hard to stop their scoring. They need to develop an overcoming offensive measure during these times.
Lamelo has gotten better at finishing at the rim.

Lamelo Ball is carrying the team. If Hornets get the number one pick in the upcoming draft lottery, Victor Wembenyama could definitely help the Hornets in the paint. The Hornets need an inside presence in the middle. They have enough shooters. They need a shot blocker, a rebounder, an intimidating defender in the paint.

His aggressiveness/playmaking and all-around defense is already top 10 in the league IMO. He doesn't even need to land 3's to be an all-star.
