Welcome back to Screen Tremble. Blue Bloods is a police drama that revolves around a family whose members all serve or have served in law enforcement in some capacity. New York Police Commissioner Frank Reagan is the main character. His dad Henry Reagan also happens to be a retired commissioner. Frank's oldest son Danny is a competent detective, his other son Jamie is a police officer with the NYPD, while his daughter Erin is the Assistant District Attorney. Their blood is basically blue (get it?).

I watch blue bloods every time it on and watch all the reruns too and always see something I missed . It's my favorite show because most if it keeps it real and covers so much of real life.. it's pretty smooth while still moving forward
Blue Bloods is my favorite TV show on the screen today. There are real values and no BS about it. Tom Selleck has been a favorite since his Magnum PI days but I'm also very fond of all the cast members that make up the Reagan family and the Police family. I sincerely hope the show continues for at least another 4-5 seasons, it really the only show worth watching. Honestly.
This is the final season. We get one or two segments in November 2024, but that's it.
Blue Bloods is the best family oriented show on TV. I have watched the show since the beginning. Thanks to all the cast for the best show ever. I will be watching when you return. Blessings to all. I'm Catholic and appreciate the dinner prayers very much. đ

Tom Selleck, The Jesse Stone seriesâs that Tom stared in, now that was darn good, and Magnum P.I. Just brilliant, the 1984 movie Runway yes sir enjoyed that too, Thank Tom.

Red Diver, yes indeed i really enjoyed the series, wish there was more, but what a great show, the way Mr Tom Selleck portrays Jessie Stone allowing just the right amount inner torment of the character to surface while maintaining the characters integrity, and that then creates the right balance of mystic, Tom draws the audience into his world but just enough to where you want to be on the case too. Just Brilliant, Bravo Tom Selleck, Bravo.
I am disappointed that they didn't do Linda's death on tv. It was a shock to not see her on the show before being killed off.

It is a sophisticated blend of family and career but delves deeply into police brutality politics of policing, city government and the career of asst DA Erin A gem in an era of all so alike police like shows !!!
How about some word, likely âhomosexualityâ, was censored. And it wasnât really nice to imply the viciousness of Tom Selleck that wasnât true. If this channelâs owner doesnât cut out this crap, that owner is going to lose subscribers right and left, and have to shut down.

Blue Bloods is actually one of a few programs that is fit for family viewing. It certainly doesnât hurt my feelings looking at Tom Selleck for an hour either.đ

"Fit for family viewing?" Have to disagree due to most of the adult characters including "Pop" and Frank always having to drink in every episode. Not necessary imo.

I wouldn't say Blue Bloods is that great. Go back to the 80s and watch a show called Hill Street Blues. Top class acting writing and overall production. It was massively popular in its day and remains one of the best shows on tv..

Is this show or that show better ? For me that's not the real issue. The real issue is there or so few quality shows being made now for broadcast TV. Even the streaming channels have very short seasons and will drop a show you like in a heart beat. They have no loyalty or confidence.
The first and second season of Blue Bloods may have been the most realistic cop drama I had ever seen from the standpoint of having enough advisers on set to instill actual lingo and procedure. Then something happened. I believe the studio/producers got heavy flack about portraying too much minority crime so they softened the storylines a bit and put more minorities in high ranking positions within the NYPD. Just my take.
Realistic , I'm not qualified to judge that. But a show that may not be realistic but was an excellent show was an old HBO series The Wire.

I love this show and have been watching from the beginning. The family interaction is great, as well as each episode. Reminds me of the interaction's on Home Improvement. I hope the show continues for many more years.

Watch carefully Danny when he is eating at the family dinner almost always is eating cut up cucumbers, this is to make sure that not only does he not gain weight but he doesn't end up overly full every time they do a dinner scene
They have "spit buckets" for the food they put into their mouths. Tom doesn't like using them so most of the time he's buttering his roll instead of shoving food in his mouth. This was told in an interview awhile back.đ

Iâm not watching anymore bc I heard about Esposito being fief & she has a serious disease, then they just wrote âLindaâ out. Miss them both & donât care for Dannyâs partner or the youngest sonâ girlfriend/wife bc she is more manly than he is. Danny is the most interesting character & has most of the action. B.B. does help the police position in working in different matters due to policies. The characters arenât that likable.

I lived in Haliwa, Hawaii when Hawaii5O was filmed. I was a waitress and twice had the pleasure of waiting on Tom Sellick and the whole crew. They were so nice, everyone in town, servers or bartenders etc. loved them. It was, to be fair 20 yrs ago, but it's hard to believe he's changed character. We differ politically but that was a non issue in those days lol

I didn't like Jennifer Esposito's character. I really like Marisa Ramirez on the show. She's a much better fit IMHO. I don't know what Amy Carlson expected. She quit the show and there was no way that her character could just go off screen.
