Want to add a crisp bread/crumb or cracker topping? Follow these steps after you take it out of the oven:
Crush up 1 cup of Ritz crackers (You can also use buttered panko, breadcrumbs, or even cornflakes). Mix it with two tablespoons of Parmesan cheese and two teaspoons of parsley. Stir in 4 tablespoons of melted butter. Spread crumb topping over the cheese topping and bake for another 10 minutes.

This is delicious! I’ve made this recipe three times. Then I made just the cheese sauce part of the recipe with broccoli. Added shredded carrots to give Panera Bread a run for their money! You taught me how to make white rice with video/recipe, that I’ve used for other dishes! What I didn’t know was that I could not use the same method for brown rice 😂. Please make a recipe using brown rice, low key teaching us how to make it. I trust no other chefs/youtubers lol

Oh thank you thank you. I have tried several recipes in the past to make a dish mom and sis mastered. I was never gifted the recipe- so, over the years - I've tried. I've been working on this recipe a couple days. (Only because I have several other chores this weekend and cooking a 2 week prep for my pup ) I have nearly everything prepped and ready to assemble. Now I do know mom and sis did use canned cream soup as well as sour cream & of course cheese. Hon it just wouldn't be the same w/o cheese. Emmmm?!! Where's the soup? My gracious where is the THOUSANDS of cream soup cams I have. (No, I- I don't actually have a thousand cans - of anything. It just seems like I had well over 20 on my pantry shelf. There must have been an awesome sale, panic buy or senior moment that came to me - and dang left me laying flat on my face. Oh no what am I going to do. I crave something and I about go mad and eat every athanasius until that craving is satisfied. And darn it I made a black Forrest cake today too - to back up such a yummy comfort food. Then I remember coming across your video. Ohhh yes I'm saved I'm saved. Sweetie, I came home Thurs night (it's my Friday, Saturday is my Sunday - so today is my Sunday night.) So I came home from work Thurs night and got 10lbs of chicken on to boil (it's for the pup) I used the boil water to put the bones and skin back in and 24 hours I made a beautiful bone broth. I have everything I need now. Thanks to you. I can't wait to make this and and I can't wait to tell you how it turned out. Frankly, yours looks even better. I'd love to know your spices... (oh yes, you did add your recipes down below didn't you. Yahoo. I'm set. Well, toodles for now and wish me luck.. Bon appetite.
Oh my gracious! I didn't comment last night because I ate so much, that I ate myself into a "food coma". Gosh, it was everything and more I expected. I now have an answer to the lack of cream soups that has on more then one occasion put the kibosh on a meal simply because I did not have the cream soup. Now I can go back and retry certain recipes that I have failed with several times making the Bechamel. And watching you (because I am a visual learner) I have learned a little bit better on a bechamel for other dishes then what typically I would use it for. I have tried to use it in other ways but have failed miserably because it always turned out like how it is intended for my other recipes. It is rather boring and tasteless as well. Last night it had all the flavor it had all the texture it had it all together. I did learn something new and I learned it from you. Thank you ever so much my dear you have Revolution dies my kitchen and I shall be trying many more recipes I have failed with in the past.
