A Squidiot Abroad - Almost Naked Motorcycling in Spain

Join me on a ride in the mountains of southern Spain. Brace yourself though, wilfully going against everything I know to be right and sensible, and flying in the face of everything I usually make a point of maintaining, I took the surprising decision to ride without full gear... or virtually any gear at all!
I'm blaming the Spanish sun and a touch of holiday delirium!

When we were in Valencia a couple of years back, everyone on two wheels was wearing shorts and T shirts. It was in the mid 30s so completely understandable.

It's the complete norm over there. On the day I was fully kitted out and melting it looked utterly ridiculous in that situation. For a longer ride on faster roads then maybe it's a different story, but for trips to the beach etc. , rightly or wrongly, it is shorts and a t-shirt.

Cheers, it was a little place called La Herradura in the province of Granada. Nearest 'big' place is Almunecar.
