South ga if the tree ain't bigger than you and they can outline you they gone!! Wouldn't have never killed the birds where I'm from backed up to a tree that small!!

“Can’t hear as good as I used to“ boy is that the truth! Sometimes I’ll wear my electronic hearing protectors with the volume turned all the way up and it helps a bit.
Hearing protection is something we all should take more seriously!

I'm amazed when I watch videos like see and see how little effort is needed to hide from turkeys in some states. I'm not trying to take away from the success, but that would never work in my part of the world (western Maine). The turkeys are extremely wary here and require a lot of attention to concealment to get within range. Good for your folks.
I bin huntin gobblers n 'tucky fer 30 yrs and I've killed 15 birds....this vid doesn't represent the typical scenario that I am used to!

Kentucky didn’t have very many birds last year. Numbers were down across the state.
I had no problem with the population n April 2022 n the county where I killed one. The Spring quota hunt n the LBL was a little quiet n the northern portion of Area 8 ...less gobbling and less shooting that I could have heard from other hunters!

yea I thought he was calling a lot more than I am used to. I kinda think it made sense to call a lot bcoz all during the vid u hear lots of turkeys raising hell! This to me was one day that stands out above all others!

I love hunting Kentucky to you want to see a place that has a lot of turkeys but is the hardest turkeys to hunt in the absolute world go to Land between the lakes around cadiz and Aurora Kentucky. Talk about some of the beautifulest birds and hardest to kill in the world if you can kill a turkey in the Land between the lakes lbl then you can kill a turkey anywhere.
I've killed four n the LBL...but it has taken 30 years!
