  • This is UK Railtours charter to Stourbridge Junction and Kidderminster using a East Midlands Trains HST set. Filmed at Coleshill and Old Hill Station but on its return something happened on the climb up Old Hill Bank and stopped. The only other person there to see what happened was Sharpo and the Reggae music was from a music festival down the road. PC 43049 43066 UPDATE from a passenger on the train he heard the train went passed a speed trap and the brakes came on.?

Great video. How strange that it stopped and then suddenly went on its way again. Liked.

I was on this train yesterday & from what I heard from other passengers there was a speed trap & the driver might of been going too fast so thats why the brakes came on.

Overspeed sensor activated, applying the brakes. Naughty driver. That's probably why he crawled over the Park, not wishing to incur further penalties!

I was on 172 17.09/10 to Dorridge after it and we stopped for about 3 mins driver got out must have been why.

TPWS activation for the PSR looks to be the cause of this. It takes around a minute for it to reset once triggered. Quite a common thing especially with rail tours.

Over speed sensor for PSR of 40mph on approach to SJ42 signal. Must have been going some as trigger speed for passenger trains is set at 50mph!!
