    “Good day to all, I just want to thank Amma Samayal for all the recipes. I, who only knew how to fry an egg, can now cook Mutton, Chicken, Sambar, Fish, Kirrei, Crab curry, etc. All I learned from Amma Samayal… If my mom were still around, she would be proud of me… And I would like to take this opportunity to thank AMMA SAMAYAL… Thank you.”

    Hi ka , I made this exact recipe yesterday and it turned out so well . Thank you ka . The special paste at the end made the entire curry level up. Everyone loved it and I’m thankful to you. Also tried the way you taught on cooking mutton on pressure cooker, previously I had a lot of water coming out from the whistle when I cook my mutton with water but upon trying your waterless method the water pouring out has been reduced . Thanks again ka.

    Thank you for sharing the recipe akka. Please can you advise - if I dont have a presurre cooker can I still use this recipe to cook the curry?

    • @AmmaSamayalFoodChannel
      @AmmaSamayalFoodChannel Před 3 lety

      Hi! Thank you Celine 😍 Yes, you can still make this curry but pre-cook the mutton separately in a pot with 1 tsp of turmeric powder and 1/2 cup ginger/garlic paste for some time or until the meat turned tender and soft. Then only add the pre-cooked mutton into the curry stir fry and follow the recipe onward 😄 I hope this helps you a lot 😁

      Simply blend equal parts of garlic and ginger for to get ginger/garlic paste. It can be stored in the fridge for a month.

    Sis, after adding masala powders , should I wait for masala separate from the oil then add lime juice and coconut milk or after adding masala powder immediately add lime and coconut milk?
    Thank you.

    • @AmmaSamayalFoodChannel
      @AmmaSamayalFoodChannel Před rokem +1

      Hi! It is advice to wait for the masala to cook a bit and then you can add the following. This is because you can save a lot of time after adding the coconut milk, meaning no need to boil for a longer time as the added masala powders already cooked.

    Yummy going to try your recipe sis. One thing, when you cook the mutton in the pressure cooker what other ingredients do you use for the mutton marination. Looks to me like the mutton was marinated.

    Hi ma'am. My concern (again) is whether boiling for so long after adding coconut milk won't cause the milk to curdle? Every other recipes I've seen, they say after pouring thick coconut milk don't let it boil. I'm now confused...

    • @AmmaSamayalFoodChannel
      @AmmaSamayalFoodChannel Před 3 lety +1

      Hi dear 😃 If this is ur first time cooking/boiling with coconut milk. I suggest u to learn from trial/practice. After adding coconut milk usual will let it boil on medium low heat for only 5-10 minutes occasionally stirring to avoid the curdle to happen. The key to avoid the curdle are cooking with the correct heat, stirring and also the mixture that we're adding the coconut milk in.
