Cristine, your pickin/playin skills are excellent, But what cuts through to me is your vocals, movin through me like warmed up molasses. Is anybody else hearin this? Talk to me
was a section of the fretboard removed on the banjo? I haven't ever noticed a banjo set up like that. the performance was stellar. glad to have found a new great artist to listen to!
Yeah, it's called a scoop. Often times the fretboard is just shaved down a bit; this one is more extreme. Some degree of scoop is popular among clawhammer players because the end of the fretboard can get in the way of your right hand and no one really plays all the way up the neck anyways.
I enjoyed the music quite a bit. As a listener I tend to prefer stories or some sort of continuity between songs over chitter-chatter or awkward flirting. I hope the dude got her number. Good luck Bro.
Not only is her music unique. But she truly is a unique and, creative individual
From the first few plucks on the strings .... Talent!

@@rabonour ok ty, I didn't think about the scoops on say a mandolin and that kind of thing. Very helpful insight. Cheers.

Cristina's then-boyfriend was in the room with us. My wife watched the livestream. That is not what flirting looks like. Back under the bridge, Jon.
