- No matter how wet or cold the conditions, I've used this system for years and you always have a safe, dry place to sleep, rest and keep your kit in order. Because your off the ground, you can relax, use your hammock like a chair, do daily routines (such as rifle cleaning) and all your equipment is in reach AND off the wet ground. Everything packs up small and with just a little personal routine you have a fantastic all round system in your bergan.
Absolutely great upload i will learn from this. Also as a 38 year old dad myself that never had a dad growing up your son is so lucky to have a dad like you stay safe well and happy. Keep camping.
Glad to share the knowledge. Hope you get years of use from it.
No nonsense to the point practical setup. You learn from the best. Thanks.
That camo patern is almost as sexy as the german flecktarn
Glad you got something from the video. It’s great to pass knowledge onto others. Enjoy your adventures 👍🏻
Surprised this never got more views and comments. Great "how to" lad and good to see the Auscam out in the British woodland. ATB Moose.
Yes I agree one, one the best and simplest setups with efficient use of equipment. Very professional.
Hello Richy, that guyline knot starting at 9:05, a sort of prussik knot without extra cord, is the best tip I've seen in a long time. Thanks for that.
Great to see our Rich! Makes me want to head out all over again!
Thank you Richy I am going to try and sleep outdoors with my tarp and hammock. I was worried about knots etc but you made it look simple so i will practice and let you know how i get on. Thank You.
Paul Robinson Most welcome. Won’t take that long to learn and you’ll have the knowledge for life. Enjoy your bashing

Good one ....🔥
Great video, very helpful what sort of hammock is that with the steel loops?
James Taylor hi! It’s an old Ray Meres one. It has loads of fabric. You could buy rip stop material and Taylor make one yourself. 👍🏻
How is this basha called? What is the camo?
Thanks!
Torsten H. Hello, yes it is an Australian Army camouflaged Pattern . Ray Mears used to sell this type of basha or tarp.
Just join the army
Already did. ;)
