How to set up a hammock, kit line and basha - tips and tricks (Full guide)

  • No matter how wet or cold the conditions, I've used this system for years and you always have a safe, dry place to sleep, rest and keep your kit in order. Because your off the ground, you can relax, use your hammock like a chair, do daily routines (such as rifle cleaning) and all your equipment is in reach AND off the wet ground. Everything packs up small and with just a little personal routine you have a fantastic all round system in your bergan.

    Absolutely great upload i will learn from this. Also as a 38 year old dad myself that never had a dad growing up your son is so lucky to have a dad like you stay safe well and happy. Keep camping.

    Hello Richy, that guyline knot starting at 9:05, a sort of prussik knot without extra cord, is the best tip I've seen in a long time. Thanks for that.

    One thing , a bight is a bend/loop in a rope. You were tying half hitches.

      James Taylor hi! It’s an old Ray Meres one. It has loads of fabric. You could buy rip stop material and Taylor make one yourself. 👍🏻

      Torsten H. Hello, yes it is an Australian Army camouflaged Pattern . Ray Mears used to sell this type of basha or tarp.
