Hey Beard, I wanted to thank you for giving me the confidence to play this game again.
You see. I first played DS back when it was free if you suscribed to PS Plus. I had the chance to play it on my brother’s PS4 and I loved it. It felt so good beating Deerclops for the first time and unlocking Maxwell, but I didn’t have the chance to play it again.
A Reign of Giants came a few months after, and all I could do was watch videos and think: woah, now the game looks even more challenging, scary but appealing.
The DST came out but I couldn’t play it because I had no computer.
After a few years, I finally bought a PC and bought DST and DS, but became scared of all the content it had, I thought for sure it would overwhelm me.
That was until I started watching your videos and guides, that not only gave me confidence and courage to play again, but motivation, one of the most important things in life, and I thank you so so much for that.
Side note: your voice is cool af and the way you talk is epic.

2 challenge ideas for ya
1. Cave Chaos
Overworld: everything set to none except for failed survivors at max, months, rain, world gen, NOT world REgen, etc. stay the same, dark start (or plus if needed)
Caves=yes
Caves: unchanged
If you want more chaos, pump up rain & earthquakes err something.
2. Soviet Russia
Overworld: no spring or summer, smallest autumn, largest winter, start in winter /w free cat capS

Too bad sanity and her books aren't the biggest help. Her best would be end is nigh and sleep one for fire and getting panflutes. Most meat would sleep so no real need for agriculture. And birds dont help much.

I love how he doesnt play WX because he can rarely be struck by lightning and give out light so instead he choses Woodie who can move faster and have night vision
I haven't transformed for a purpose once this entire series thus far, you'll see. Also, I choose Woodie cause we've never had a Woodie playthrough - that is all! :D

you can always trow 4 red mushrooms into a crockpot to make nondangerous food with them, so that red mushroom forest is a big source of food if the need arises.
Edit: also that dragonfly spawning all the way in the back right on the curve of his peninsula is really nice since fire tumbleweeds wont actually have time to go out and burn your base
I've challenged myself to play as Woodie in werebeaver-mode, since he has night vision, and test my patience by seeing how long I can last wandering around and eating all things wood in sight

Absolutely stoked for this series. Always wanted to see someone do a dark world playthrough. I'm decent enough at the game normally but never lasted over like 30 days in a dark world. I either lose track of light. Or get smacked my shadow demons when my sanity bottoms out eventually

I have an idea for a challenge. I saw a scientific video the other day that was talking about what if earth was kicked from the solar system, so it wouldn't be warm from the sun and it would be dark. So what if you do a challenge where it's lights out AND nonstop winter?

I have a challenge I called "The Hostile Challenge"So you do have to play a specific character and it might be a bit hard.
1. Play as Webber
2. Add a lot of pigmen
3. Add a lot of Catcoons
4. Make dusk longer
5. Kelp the spider default
6. Make your base near the pigmen
7. Survive until day 70 (meaning the challenge is over)
I dare people trying this and tell me how long you survived

You can work at night, just grab the tool in the hand and left click with it on whatever you wanna do.
Not in DST . You cannot work in the dark in DST, Solo yes, but not DST. He needs some kind of light even if it's just burning a nearby tree. He knows all of this of course, but hey xD
4:56 An easy trick you could've done is planting these pinecone and digging them straight up, it gives twigs instead of wood when they're still, well, saplings.

This guy must be good at Don't Starve.
This is just farm trees, sticks, grass create a camp area near mole worms, get a lantern and go around farming cactus for sanity, blue caps for health and just morsels, cactus and occasional forage for food (at least that’s what I do)
(EDIT) and blue caps for hunger too
Depth worms most probably get distracted by monkeys. That happens quite often - when one of them attacks a monkey, others will follow. If there is no monkey around, I've never saw them return back. They could follow you for a long distance if you don't run fast, so there is no "range".

What was the resolution of the drama? I tuned out for a while, didn’t want to deal with it
They stopped talking about it and the unwarranted harassment from their audience members ceased just a week and a half later cause they never had anything solid to stand on from the beginning. It was exactly what I thought it was from the start, a mob mentality fueled by ignorance.
