I own a body shop and I can tell you it takes real guts to even attempt something like this. These technicians are artists and should be working for Ferrari directly.
Those Italians have a big ego . They won't even give these guys some projects. That would cut ✂️ the cost of ferrari by 1/2 at least.

I spent nine years doing advanced composites on aircraft. Build tooling and molds. These guys are talented. The planning that went into this took real talent too.

The amount of sanding required is simply staggering.
The clay :P i've seen concept cars made from clay but never seen someone build a composite step by step by applying clay molds straight on the structure, its actually kind of a genius way of making it considering their obvious financial limitations. Very labour intensive though
Engineering alone won't cut it in this. Takes real talent , artistic talent I mean and commitment of highest level to plan and execute this until end. This is your second video I have watched, and I have nothing but respect to you guys.

Lack of interior / soundproofing mats and water seals on windows combined with no climate control inside is thing to do but basically lamborghini diablo was made in 1990's in similar way and with similar result.

When I first started watching this, I thought this was going to be a cardboard and sheet metal nightmare when it was finished! Man, was I wrong! This is an absolute masterpiece!😮 What you guys did with simple materials, a welder, and bodyworking tools is amazing. What a monumental project!!😎👍

@@g0d182 yeah, its tons of fibreglass over rotted steel internals with a mounted steel box frame. weighs an absolute ton, and if it hits too many bumps, it will fall apart. ALSO, i think you would be really disappointed if you saw this up close. the finish looks ok on the internet from afar!

I've driven go-carts with better engineering than what they've put into this. I'm surprised the damn thing rolled at all. Are they from one of those body shops that fill a dent with brick and mud before painting rather than actually fixing the dent? yeah, no thanks. Not impressed.

this got to be one the best and most impressive builds I've seen so far. the panel work and paint job are excellent. the amount of detail everywhere is amazing. ngl I didn't think it would turn out this good
Amazing job! One small observation - at 10:34 the steering axis is a long way from the centre of the tyre width so when you hit a bump it will try to pull the steering wheel right out of your hands.
This isn't next level DIY. This is God level DIY.
No proper brakes in the front... God level indeed, as in you will meet god very quickly.

And don't get me started on the paint prep, or the paint. I grew up in Florida and I've never seen that much orange peel. Why go through all that trouble only to cut so many corners on body work?

You are forgetting that the body is composite carbon fiber...and the body frame is tubolar steel.

The paint job is outstanding! The transformation, I just cannot believe it.
These guys are very talented in what they do. Great attention to details and excellent clay forming skills. Way better than most body shops I’ve seen on tv like on the discovery channel. The only thing I would change is the motor at least make it a v8 or change the exhaust system to make it sound a bit better . What a beautiful replica they created.

Only one thing that I didn't see! After all of the riding through the water puddles and wearing the goggles, you forgot to put a windshield wiper on the finished product!😂

With all the fiberglass this car may be a bit heavier than the real thing. But wholly moly, it's just as beautiful! And for all accounts truly hand crafted. Impressive and stunning. I just wish it could be imported to the U.S. cause I'd commission a build for a laser blue colored one. Imagine going to car shows and driving around in your one off hand built masterpiece not caring that it's not a real La Ferrari? But just as special. 👍
