I'd absolutely love the chance to win! Front Mission is a classic franchise, and the second game never got the localization it deserved. I really appreciate the mechanical design language of the Wanzers, since it's different from classic mecha anime but also still very distinct from western robot design (a la Battletech, for example).
Got it preordered physically online, seems vastly more engaging than the first game. I'm working on the 1st one atm

Can’t think of anything better than a good remake of a great game to start playing Front Mission.
I played the front mission games a ton as a kid, picked up the front mission 1st day physically and absolutely loved revisiting with the modernized visuals... something so satisfying about building your own mechs and wreaking havoc in the arena!! I cannot wait to replay FM2 remaster, hopefully it has a steelbook physical like 1st.
Looks like it's done a good job of updating the visuals without losing the charm of the original
I really love the art of the portraits. That 90s anime style is so up my alley.
My Introduction to "Front Mission" was buying No. 3 on a whim during a family holiday to Scotland, I read the manual every single night in bed absolutely fascinated by the game until I got home and played nothing but for around 4 months til I completed every little bit of the game.
I've bought and played everything single one since, even Evolve and Left Alive, I even bought a Japanese PS2 to play Front Mission Online but could never really get the thing to work properly, it's been my favourite RPG series next to the Tales series.
I remember playing FM on my PS Vita thanks to the backwards compatibility from PS1. Loved it and I would love to play the sequel! Looks great!
I played FM1 on the Switch when it came out. And I also remember playing Front Mission on my DS back in the day. I've always been a fan of these kinds of strategy games and the level of customization means you can dive in for a quick round or get lost in the detail for hours. Would love to try out the latest entry in the series. Thanks guys.
I've never played the original front mission 2, but these remakes seem to make the greatest version of these older school games. Really fun and tactical combat too

Looks interesting and a step up from the presentation of their previous work. Forever entertainment really benefitted from having a support studio on this one.
Looks fun! Happy to hear that the story is interesting. Obviously the gameplay is the most important thing, but having an engaging story helps motivate you and keeps you excited for what's going to happen next, it makes the whole experience a lot better, IMO.
I just love the remaster and remakes of Squaresoft classics. This was a period where Squaresoft were at their pinnacle and every release was a banger as they stretched what was possible on the SNES and then explored the new power on the PlayStation.
Which is why it was so annoying to see this game and the first only released in Japan. I remember looking at screenshots in magazines and hoping there would be a western release. Here we are all these years later and I finally get my wish.
I picked up the first as digital and then just got the physical copy which came with a nice small booklet.

What I like about the front mission games is how they are genuinely fun, transports you to a made up world, like an escape from reality. Atmosphere is top notch.
I love when remake gives an option to get back to original settings and art/music style, which I can see Forever Entertainment included in here. As a mech fan, this game looks like a must-to-play. Especially with surprisingly well written storyline. Thank you for the great review!

I love TRPGs, although the military environment may not be my favourite. The names paying tribute to SE's classics was a nice touch.

The Front Mission series is one that stuck with since I played when I was young:Front Mission 3, in particular. It's great to see the series is getting the remake treatment. We need more mech games.

Loved Front Mission 3 on the PlayStation (hoping for a cheeky remake of that one too) and love the Front Mission 1 remake so I’ll be all over this one. Great video as always guys
I remember getting a chance to play the original when I was younger, then I later hacked and modded my PS Vita **long live gaming handhelds!!! Huzzah** to run emulators so I could experience the games that are either no longer available or really expensive now as collectibles. I got the chance to play it even longer and it’s awesome. I’m so glad they were able to remake this game and would love to dive into it again. The 360 turning is a nice addition. Right now it’s the perfect time since it’s been so long I don’t remember most of the game. Great video and thanks for sharing

Downloaded the demo for FM1 after watching your vid. Decent upgrade from the original, I was pleasantly surprised!
Man the first remake is one of the my faves on the switch and this one looks even better. Definitely gonna be checking this one out
I've never played the Front Mission series but considering I love SRPGs and I love mechs this might be my type of jam. I do like what you describe as the quality of life improvements especially the lowering of load times. This looks dope. Going to have to look into the first Front mission as well.

I take an unreasonable amount of enjoyment out of listening to old more limited but still creative and wonderful songs get remastered into new pieces without the limitations. Like the little house in Mario party superstars and the remastered songs on display here
I played the 3rd game on PS1 and it looks a little similar to this but obviously, this has better graphics. Awesome review! Keep up the good work!

While I'm a huge fan of JRPGs and tactical games, I haven't yet played the Front Mission series. I'm so excited that the first two games are finally available to play and on modern hardware. I am enamored by the aesthetics of the game and how sort of grounded the story is. You guys saying that the plot is full of twists and turns only adds to my anticipation!
its kinda hard to get into the front missions games but once they grab you, they wont let go. glad they modernized fm2 like this, it really needed that .
Ive never played this series but it reminds me of final fantasy tactics and looks like something i would love the customization looks amazing and it looks like it runs amazingly on the switch.
Played the first remake, definitely gonna grab this one too.
FM 2 is the best FM game, so yes. Best mechanics, best atmosphere, best plot / scenario, best cast of characters (and the art is gorgeous), best level design… it’s everything a FM game should be.
So glad more and more TRPGs are getting love on thr switch. I feel this genre is PERFECT for handheld
I played Front Mission 3 on the PSOne to death!! Completed both story arcs and loved it! Currently playing Front Mission 1 which is fantastic to be able to finally experience! I'll definitely be playing #2 when it becomes available!

Front Mission on ds was, after Chrono Trigger, my most played cart. Loved the gameplay, loved the story. I really hope someday “they” remake Front Mission: Gun Hazard. That game is awesome. Can’t wait to play this one though, backlog allowing….

I played FM3 back in 99' or 2000. Loved it. I still play it and FF Tactics sometimes just for the nostalgia. I will be grabbing a physical copy of this game when it comes out.

I have only played Front Mission: Evolved but this looks right up my alley. Tactical gameplay.mechs and an interesting story.

I only played the DS port of first game but I think I'll get either this or 3 for sure. Sometimes a simple remake with small quality of life improvements and clean graphics is enough to bring a title to a new audience.
I would pay 60 bucks for a remake of Vagrant Story in this style because that's all it needs.

I played the PS1 version of Fromt Mission 3 on my PS Vita. Turn based strategy games are getting quite a revival at the moment! Looks fun!
My brother and I were obsessed with the FrontMission 3 demo on ps1. We would play it over and over. Amazing time! This was in the late 90s early 2000s during the anime mech hype era when shows like Gundam , Patlabor and Robotech were in heavy rotation on Toonami over here in the US. I played a translated copy of Front MIssion 1 but I never seen or heard of Front Mission 2.

Only ever played front mission 3, very much wanting to play both these remakes. Best thing about this for me is the physical release, with the manual and extras. In the current gaming climate could of easily been a download only title so really appreciate it!
I love getting to play these unreleased in the West gems. The joy of sin\mpler times combined with the thrill of new discoveries! I'm in each and every time!
