Cmmg I'm a fan don't get me wrong. But of all companies I think you guys should step into the handgun game. I would love to see a cmmg take on something like a double stack 45, 1911. Possibly some sort of radial barrel system, maybe even some archon ergos. 😂

What’s the velocity gained by going with a 16” over the 6.5”? All google would tell me is that it’s 830fps when fired from a M1911A1, and 950fps when fired from the Thompson M1A1.
Not much - the optimal barrel length for pistol cartridges varies, but it'll be around 10".
Over that, it's actually slowing down. It'll still be faster than a 6.5", but it's not ideal.
Question, if you run a suppressor on the dissent, do you need something like the banshee does?

Can we get this to fit on a 556 lower please!!!!! I’m in a crap state and can only get uppers and parts. I basically am stuck running off my existing lowers. I love your 9mm, 22lr upper as I shoot PCC matches, 45 acp with a can is definitely on my wish list.
Also make a Zeroed 22lr bolt catch please. 🙏🏼
The problem I think is the magwell, and the .45 form factor doesn't lend itself to an MK4/AR style magazine adapter/conversion. The Dissent MK4 uppers will (in principle) match your milspec lower and gives you quite a few caliber options, but not .45. From what I can tell, Dissent MK4 upper options that WILL work for you are available in 300BLK, 5.56, 350 Legend, 6.5 Grendel, 6mm ARC, and 9mm

@@kermitlovesbacon1926understood, I'd be happy for CMMG to pull that rabbit out of their hat, but since they are the king of caliber options but have never done a .45 for M4 I think it's safe to say it's a nut they haven't been able to crack, or is niche enough that it doesn't justify the tooling. Can always keep asking and hoping though, good luck!
I have a Banshee 45. Does CMMG sell upper kits to convert mine into The Dissent set up? I run OEM Mags, because 2 of my SGM Tactical Mags’ plate broke off when shooting with 25 rounds loaded in them.
It would have to be a whole new upper. Too many different parts unfortunately. Literally the only same thing would be the barrel.
That would be cool. Use my lower, and get upper kit from ya. Then, put a UMP 45 folding stock or ACR Stock on it.
@@wokndedfan413 when you order an upper, you have a choice of attachment to put on the lower. The most common is the pic rail to replace your buffer tube.

@cmmg I would be honored to have any one of the Dissent line, preferably 5.56 or 9mm even .308win. Especially with my 52nd birthday coming in mid April. Unfortunately I am a poor but it would be a nice gift

I’m sorry, but I’d rather hear it straight from the Manufacturer than from “Hey guys, let me talk and talk and talk before getting down to business” guy. Or the “watch how good I look shooting for a minute & a half” before I start rambling on and on about BS stuff that I am NOT THERE TO WATCH. CMMG; Please support the products you sell with content on here. And I mean like Midway & Brownells does. Professionally. You seem to have an ok thing going. Help it grow. I am not putting this on a firearm of mine with the help of Honest Jack of All or “Bubba Gump here.”
