    Perfect. Thanks for the review. I was torn between both. It would have been nice to see an area rug comparison but I’m going for the pet pro. Thanks and good luck with the coffee brand!

      Another dealbreaker for me was the clearance. We have thicker rugs so that’s another ding for the hydrosteam. Why couldn’t they just add steam to the pet pro? /sigh

    We just got the petpro and when I saw the steam one I thought I had made a mistake. This video makes me feel better haha. We have the bissel hydrosteam for carpets / area rugs already (not the crosswave). I'm thinking the crosswave hydrosteam was intended to be a better hybrid of the two devices with the addition of the steam.

      Lmao this happened to me as well. I already have a steamer so the price difference was the deciding factor for me. 80 bucks more for a steamer wasn’t worth it.

    I have the pet pro and it's awesome. I like the manual clean feature because I can control how long I want the brush to clean and it always comes out spotless. I find in videos the newer bissells always leave the brush roll looking dirty. I bought the pet pro from bissell's website a few years ago and I got 3 different types of brushes, and I could pay monthly through Bissell, not a third party. *Bissell Canada*

    Are the rollers interchangeable? I would like the no tangle brush with the steamer. THX

    Can you use vinegar and water, as opposed to the Bissell solution? (Cost saving measures)

    I'm looking into purchasing my first Crosswave by Bissell, and I wanted to ask... Does the HydroSteam use only steam to get the floors wet, or does it also spray water on the spinning brush like the non-steam versions. I've looked at several videos and reviews, and no one has provided a clear answer on that. Thanks! :)

      If you only want to steam + clean and don't want to waste cleaning solution, just fill the water bottle with only water.

    would be a good demo if actually used with pet hair, ive got a german shepherd and i have to clean every day, and cleanout the water and wash the brush almost everyda, lol bissell try to tell you dont have to clean it that often, they obviously dont have dogs that malt

    Does the one with steam actually get the floor hot enough or would you say it comes out with steam and its basically a cold mist?

    • @Beyllion
      @Beyllion Před 8 měsíci +1

      What steam does on most steam cleaners is just heat up the brush/mop and keep it wet.
      But the mop/brush isn't going to be hot enough to kill those 99,99% germs they talk about. And it normally takes a few seconds to kills germs with steam, a single quick pass isn't going to be long enough to reach the desired sanitizing effect.
      However, the fact that the mop/brush is warm makes a difference over regular cleaners because so stains (old and dried up stains) can be removed way easier with a hot mop than a cold one, even a motorized brush will struggle against dried up stains if it's cold.

    Can you use just water, water and alcohol, water and hydrogen peroxide, or water and vinegar? I hate the smell of synthetic cleaning products.

    • @Beyllion
      @Beyllion Před 8 měsíci +2

      As a rule, NEVER use anything other than water and the recommended cleaning solution in these appliances.
      It might slowly kill your cleaner.
      Some brands use that threat to force people to buy their expensive cleaning solutions but it's generally true.

      As long as you keep the tanks off the motor to dry out, and dont use anything like dish soap or dawn that will cause bubbles or foam to flood the motor, or Bleach / CLR/ harsh-type cleaners that could weaken or eat through the plastic you will be fine (: I've been doing it for years with my crosswave and carpet cleaners and they still run like new (: Hope this helps.
