- This is a comparison of 2 recipes with very interesting results for a Dutch / Hairdryer Pour and also with the Flip Cup. Dry results of both are shown.
Both recipes were mixed to the same consistency using water for thinning.
Recipe 2 required more water than Recipe 1 because glue is very thick.
Recipe 1:
1 part paint
2 parts floetrol
1/2 part liquitex pouring medium
Very little water for thinning
Recipe 2:
1 part paint
1 part floetrol
1 part Elmer's Glue All
1/2 part liquitex pouring medium
Water for thinning

Im so grateful U did this video. Im very new at acrylic pouring & I'd only mixed up colors yesterday with 1pt paint, 1 pt pva & 1pt floetrol & watee but I havent painted with them yet. Tonight I wondered if anyone else had tried this mix & shared their results cos I started wondering if I'd
made a mistake by trying it. So I just now decided to search to see if someone had tried it on youtube & found this video. I will feel far more confiden now & I know for sure that I havent wasted paint & money. Such videos really do help. Thanku so much

I made my own Australian Floetrol with 8 parts of US floetrol and 1 part of penetrol. 😊
Australian Floetrol is for acrylic paint and US floetrol is for latex paint. Both are flow extenders, make pain dry slower. Australian Floetrol gives cells, US floetrol does not.

Love seeing experiments. However, to make it 100% fair, might be a good idea to have put the paints in small cups so you know that bth pics have exactly same amount of oaint

Looks like glue is best in both instances. Funny thing is Kanella Ciraco uses only Floetrol and water for her dutch pours and they are all perfect. It's hard for me to find Floetrol where I am so I always use glue and water, but now I'm doing mostly blooms.
I know right? I totally expected floetrol only to be the best mix. I guess it works different for everyone. I think its pretty awesome you can do blooms with glue.

I liked the glue Dutch pour better, but I liked the Floetrol flip cup. 🤔

@@ColorfulCreationsbySarah For sure! I've been messing around trying to come up with recipes for clear base coats for different techniques. I plan on doing a video, but I need to do some more experimenting first. That's what I love about pouring, though. It's all about the experimentation! ☺😄

school glue does the same job
