In my eyes, David Duchovny is someone who lives life to the fullest. I LOVE that he is sharing his musical style, lyrics and renditions (covers) with us. The best qualities about David that I have always admired is his open and honest personality. He doesn't try to be someone he's not. ~ In several interviews, Gillian Anderson has said that she wanted to act with David on something else/ ANYTHING else, other than just Mulder & Scully; David however, was not open to the suggestion....and felt protective of their portrayal of Mulder & Scully. (which I agree with).... However, I believe THIS is the answer to Anderson's desire to being with David on anything else, other than Scully & Mulder... And I love it! ~ THANK YOU David, for sharing your life experiences with us, and making music in the meantime.

+get out The "girl" in the middle is an actress that David is also friends with. In David Duchovny's portrayal of a book writer/ womanizer....She portrays the daughter of Hank Moody on Californication. (she's not meant to do anything here, she's present because David asked her to be there. David refers to her as "Mattie", but her name is Madeleine Martin and plays "Becca" (the character) who was a musician. (David has spoken about that time period, a long time ago, and how he got advice from the singer/musician in Californication so I'm sure David has had many occasions with Mattie up there jammin' with him.). Of course the highlight of the evening is David & Gillian though. Luv them :)
