Ditto! My favorite videos were the Mini Monday's. They have helped me improve my technique without wasting a lot of paper, as well as letting me paint from start to finish when I don't have a lot of time. Thank you for all those lessons.

I tell you I've been watching you for about 3 yrs now. I love and learn from everything you paint. A great journey. I make watercolor cards now and sell them. I'm widowed and painting has helped me in many ways. I feel it's one of God's ways to bless me. Caroline NC

I make cards and small paints that I mat and sell. Some are your ideas but I make them my own. I change the direction of the sun and shadows, colors when I run out of ideas. I want to get freer and more atmospheric in my applications and I know that means to experiment. There seems to be so little time in a day to do that and make art to sell. I am an oil painter and glass artist. Right now I’m recovering from a back injury and watercolor has been my haven of rest. I love what you teach and your freedom. Olynda Walker

I started when my husband was going through chemotherapy during covid, and I was home all the time. Ellen's older mini Monday series was so helpful.
Small painting(5×7 or less)is less intimidating.
The cheerful voice and "you can do this" got me through a rough time.
Someday, I want to do the patreon.

I like these small sketchbook videos. Small sketchbooks are great because they don't require any time planning, you can just pull it out when ever the opportunity arises.

I use a 5x5 sketchbook from the same brand, and I find as a beginner it's much more doable. I can control the work easier than a huge swath of paper to cover. Very satisfying to be able to make a nice little painting in a short amount of time.

trying to copy this simple painting is probably doable. my problem is trying to reduce a scene to the basic colours and shapes. daily details can be so overwhelming.
