    I like this method. The other tutorials always make you sew the two ends together and you can easily see the stitching. This method is much better. Thank you so much!!

      I also found this really helpful my story is kinda like urs where I watched many tutorials but nearly all of them turned out to look sorta bad but when I watched this vid I made one and it turned out really good and looked like I had bought it from a store x

    For a tube-turner, you could just use a thick straw and a chopstick, couldn't you? I wanna try that out!!

      That would probably work for smaller tubes, but larger fabric tubes would need something larger than a straw.

    I thought this was the illusive youtube tutorial I’ve watched about the twist infinity scarf. It’s not but this is great also!

      This is the same method to make a basic infinity scarf. If you want a twist in the scarf, you'd add that before turning it halfway to the right side and sewing the ends together.

    Thanks for this video! These seem to be the best instructions, and match what I've seen in scrunchies from the shop. In fact yours is actually better, because the bought ones closed the side opening on the outside with machine stitching. Hard to see as they matched the colour exactly, but just not quite as good as yours.

    Awesome tutorial! Is there any others ways to close the tube other than handsew? The tube won’t go under my machine and I’m not a very goo hand sewer! Any other ways? I prefer this style of scrunchie to all the others!

      No, if it won't go on your machine the only way is to hand sew.

    The measurements in centimetres if you don't understand inches like me
    the strip of fabric - 45,75cm X 10,16cm
    the piece of elastic - 20,32cm

    Bowl cosy tutorial please. Including whether to wash the Pellon Wrap and Zap or not before starting, and if yes, then please show how to wash & dry it. I can’t find any video on this.
    Also how to sew around the corners neatly. Best type of cotton fabric to use too, and why - as in why that particular fabric out of all the cotton choices. I know it has to all be cotton including batting & thread but which cotton fabric is best suited? Is it quilting cotton, drill or something else? Thank you in advance 🙏🏼

    What brand of elastic do you use? I’ve tried different kinds but none have been that stretchy :(

    Don't know if you still reply to comments but is there a significant difference to the outcome if you happen to have the elastic twisted inside? 😭

      Probably not, the elastic will get twisted if you actually wear it in your hair anyway since you have to twist the scrunchie to secure it in a second loop.

      If they are stretchy elastic, yes. These require stretch to work.

    Can you make a scrunchie tutorial using a hairband instead of elastic?

      I don't have plans to do that. I'd suggest cutting the hair tie and then knotting it back together and using the same sewing method I show in this video for the scrunchie.

    Good method, but as someone who can't hand sew, this was sooo hard 😅 I prefer to cheat, and run my machine across. The small flat bit is easy to hide in the scrunched ruffles.

      Hi! I make scrunchies for a business and for my kids’ scrunchies I would recommend a fabric size of 3 x 15 and an elastic of 6in. I don’t know about the two year old though i don’t know if the same will also work but you can sure try!

    It looks normal but when i turn it inside out so i can but the rubber band in it turns like one sided it its just pencil cased shape hellpp
