Ayyyy CRISPR proteins!! I'm building a section of amino acids of an anti-CRISPR (acrii4a) for science olympiad this year.
I thought it was a cas9 protein?
I searched this up because I’m in 7th grade and got invited to take a STA from this university. But I really enjoyed this video even if I’m not going to college soon.

Hey I am currently very stressed about writing my college essays lol and I have a quick question. I feel that my passion for science and learning is probably the most defining part of my character, BUT I don't want my essay to seem broad, cliche, or like I am just trying to impress the college! Do you think if I told the story about the time at a science museum when I realized how excited science made me that this topic would be specific enough? Btw I wrote a full essay this morning about how adopting a positive mindset has changed my life then trashed it bc I know that is too cliche hahha helpppp. This was a very helpful video btw!!
Hi, I'm glad you liked my video. Picking an essay topic an definitely be stressful and I wrote several that I had to toss. At the end of the day, write what you feel represents you. Any topic can make for a great essay if its written well and truly comes from you. If science is your passion and you can convey that through your essay then you're golden!

Hi I’m a senior in high school and I was wondering if duke has a bachelor degree in nursing ?
Hi Nancy, Duke does not have a nursing program for those entering college for the first time. I graduated from UC Berkeley in Sociology and will be attending Duke's 16 month accelerated Bachelor of Nursing (ABSN). It only accepts student's who completed a bachelors degree in a non-nursing field.

What's it like going to a Catholic school?
Although Duke was founded by Methodists and Quakers it is not really a religious school. The chapel is a beautiful building on campus but all religious organizations are voluntary and there is not an emphasis placed on Catholicism on campus. I myself am a Jew so I attend services at the Freemen center on campus, there are also Muslim organizations as well and those who are Catholic have the opportunity to join that community.
They already gave me a scholarship for duke I’m surprised
