- I appreciate past-Erika going through the effort of creating a video in 2016, but honestly, it could have been done better. So there it is, the updated version of that video, now scripted and edited!

In this video I talk about how to cartoonize people and how you can make anyone into a cartoon. I start with the basics, how to recognize the shapes and proportions of the person you want to draw, and then I break the process down step by step.
I show how you can draw simplified eyes, noses, mouths, hair and the whole face shape! This way you'll be able to cartoon yourself, a celebrity, or anyone you want.
At the end of the video there is a time-lapse drawing that shows my process of drawing in my own style, a bit more complex cartoon style.

My first job was drawing caricatures at a theme park. 2 weeks of training in a stifling trailer with 13 other people and all using alcohol markers.... Maybe I was a little on a goofy-high, but this taught me more than they did haha.

It was good. The most important tip was shape of the head hairs and eye .. it helped me alot

I would add beauty marks only if they are important to the person’s look. For example I would add it for Marilyn Monroe, but not for Harry

How do i draw lips that don't look too big in comparison eoth the character?
You could draw lips in different ways, for example one way is drawing just a single line to represent the whole mouth.
If your lips look too big and you can't draw them smaller, you might need to draw your character's face bigger or use a thinner lead to draw. This way every face element can have the correct proportions

When I hear about “caricature drawing” I think about super exaggerated features, brought to the extreme. This is different from what I do.

@@aki_anyway 😔one of the biggest thing of being a artist quality is that , he/she as a artist never quits nor gets mad at his work and more importantly has a base of doing art ., For example knowing how to do basic figure drawing and shapes along with shading etc. But in my case it's opposite......I get mad my arts gets sad at them I quitted 4 or more times already and has no base for doing art 😓😔! The feeling inside is like - "why did I got blessed with a skill when I'm not worthy of it".....that kind to of stuff
