Thanks for all the tips. One tip for you. After you cut the top off your caulk and want to save it insert a nail big enough to fill up the opening.

To keep the caulk from drying out, put some cling wrap around the tip and then push caulk out until you have a bubble at the tip. Secure it with an elastic or rubber band. It works on all kinds of caulk.

Hi Katie, I love your videos, you are very talented and one of my most favorite artists. I don't know how you manage a job and doing this a night, it 's hard enough to work and take care of home life too, but I'm glad you do this for us, I've learned so much from you. The lace molding is super incredible, I am really addicted to lace. Keep the videos coming, I love everything you do.

I always put a nail with a big flat head on it..inside the caulking tube. It keeps them from drying out and the big head is easy to grab for removal.

Yeah I was cleaning up and found the molds I did with silicone and can not get it out so tossed them. Thank you for your explanation. When you open the caulking try put a nail in the hole and plastis on top.

If you open the silicone latex squeeze that has no cap, use a nail in the hole to "cap it off".

It is so nice and delicate. I have done this on my cards but ours is a sheet of stencil and we do it directly on the card but with the same paste

Wow, this is so perfect- I'm completely in love with & obsessed with lace. I have quite a few silicone lace molds but the only thing I've used in them is liquid clay & that's great and all but liquid clay is expensive for me & it takes up quite a bit so I've been wondering about other possible options to use in the molds. I'm so extremely excited about this video! I have molding paste because I was into art journaling for a bit but haven't done it in awhile so this is a perfect way to use it. I, for one, would love love LOVE it if you did end up showing us a project or ideas on things to do with these lace pieces. I'm going to try making it later but so far cant think of anything at all to actually do with it yet. And a quick question- molding paste can be colored, right? Like maybe with shaved up chalk pastels or possibly mica powders or maybe even alcohol inks.. I don't know, what do you think? If so then we can make colored lace also & possibly even metallic or glow in the dark lace! Ok, sorry I keep bothering.you. I've just been watching all of your videos all day & I'm so happy to have found you on here. I'm currently trying to make your beautiful little white & yellow flower cane. I can't believe you just came up w/ it on the spot like you said, that's amazing & I'm so jealous of your creativity & ability! Thank you so much for another great tutorial

Yes, Maremi Small Art or something... love her voice! I think she is originally from Eastern Europe - can't remember the country right now - and moved to Ireland and married an Irishman not necessarily in that order. Thank you for sharing this technique! It's lovely and could be incorporated into so many different designs. (P.S. just subscribed tonight and binge watching to catch up lol)

Was very interesting watching this. Would it help on unmolding if you added some corn starch VERY lighthanded with a makeup brush? I saw someone use spray oil (like Pam) that was very lightly brushed on - but i didn't like the idea if oil on my lace as it might not take paint or stain well. Also, if you put the mold face down and roll it back while gently releasing the lace, it might help to minimize tearing. Loved the idea of thumping the mold to get rid of air bubbles. Thanks for sharing!!

Love your videos, I thought as I was watching this, when you clean up with wipes, wrap one over your metal tool for the harder to reach areas, like in the corner edges thats delicate you can use the point of your tool. Just a thought, hope it helps 💞 I love that you do mixed media because its something my 13 year old daughter can do with me, she draws a lot and anime is her thing, maybe we could switch it up and make her drawings 3D with polymer clays and paints 👌🏼 Thanks for sharing your gift, & don’t take no notice of the nasty people who complain. Do what you love & nothing else matters 😉 sending you happy vibes from NSW Australia 🇦🇺 🤗

By the way love your videos. Very informative for beginners like me.
    Other question,,,
Just started working with polymer clay,,,
Really got some cool designs out of the clay,,,,
    Used sculpted primo,
Baked them and came out great,,,
Didn't know much about glazing them,,,
So I tried the sculpt glaze that you brush on.
Don't like it , it leaves brush marks,,,,
    So,,,
Can I use the resin over the scurry glaze,,,,
Do you think it would level out the lines from the glaze...

Katie that is not dumb. It will make any bubbles escape plus settle down into mould. Katie I like how you teach me. I am 75 and I enjoy your lesson. I am being nosy you don’t need to answer what is your fiancés name. 😄🤓🇨🇦
