Race Taper

I'm one week out from the Pikes Peak Ultra 30K and 6 weeks out from the Devil on the Divide 50K. Things are about to ramp up a bit! Today was just over 8 miles in Lory State Park, just West of Fort Collins, Colorado. Next week it's a 30K race in the foothills of Pike Peak in Colorado Springs. Then it will be a few progressively longer weekend runs before my final taper into the Devil on the Divide 50K with breathtaking (literally and figuratively) views of Clear Creek County and the Continental Divide, topping out at over 13,000 feet in altitude!
