This was a great speech, Ms Martin. Thanks to you and CAWP, I learned about another lawmaker, Sen Lipman, an African American woman's excellent success given the opportunity for her to shine.Good for women and good for African Americans, and good for us all. A great person to emulate by younger females, "If she can see it, she can be it."

The Geena Davis Institute is a great beginning, and an answer for the questioner at 45:00/46:00 mark. "If she can see it, she can be it." Increase visibility of females in their actual roles in society. Media starts the defining of who people are. Models/fashion as seen as the standard and young girls emulating the impossibly really thin women models mostly.
