A visit to Devils Tower in Wyoming USA

Devils tower is a very strange rock formation in the state Wyoming. It featured as a backdrop in the famous film "Close Encounters of the Third Kind by Steven Spielberg".
Legend has it that a giant bear clawed the strange profiles into the rock. It is also a sacred ground for native American tribes. The surroundings are habited by numerous prairy dogs.

It looks like a tree stump from a huge silicon tree. Imagine what a woodcutter was who cut down this tree!

This is a giant tree stump. Compare with other mesas and tree stumps. That's why there are perfect hexagonal formations. "There were giants on the Earth in those days".
