  • The Air India Express cancelled more than 80 flights since May 7 as the airline's 200+ cabin crew members went on a mass sick leave. The move by the crew was to protest against the alleged mismanagement by its owner, the Tata Group. The Tata Group is currently in the process of merging its two airline entities the Air India Express and Air India Express Connect (AIX Connect). The staff at the Air India Express was also unhappy with the alleged unequal treatment of the employees by the owner group.

I flew on Air India express a week ago. Domestic-economy. That was my 2nd ever flight. Staff were courteous. they had a tired look on their face. I don't know if it is normal.

The employees are used to not working when Government was in control of Air India. Now under TATA they want the same treatment
All these employees should be sacked. In India we have enough people to replace these lazy ones.

Erstwhile entitled sarkari naukri wale employees of Air India cannot accept the rigours of employment in the private sector. Here it’s performance only counts. They think they are still supported by the Indian tax payers in a secure sarkari naukri.
